Alex's POV

I turned around, expecting to see one of our "soulmates". I was sadly disappointed when I found nothing there.

"Ha. Ha. Very funny." I said, sarcastically.

"Sorry. I was tempted." Brooklyn replied, laughing.

We all turned back to the table as the waitress brought our drinks and took our order.

I looked around the small room we were in. The restaurant was also tropical themed, like the rest of the hotel. The walls were the colors of the sunset with a mural of a beach on one wall, and the tables and chairs resembled something you might see along the shoreline of a beach.

"Have you guys started your summer reading project yet?" Brooklyn asked.

"School? Really?" Serena replied.

I honestly hadn't started the book. But I wasn't worried. It was only the beginning of the summer. Knowing me, I would wait until a week before school started back up and panicked.

"Can we all promise not to talk about school on this trip?" Annalise proposed.

We all promised as the waitress brought our food out. The table grew silent as we ate. Although we were teenage girls, we took our food seriously. Suddenly, Brooklyn looked up and stopped eating.

"Oh. Oh no." She said, looking over my shoulder again.

"I'm not falling for that one again! I'm gonna turn around and see nothing." I stated, turning around.

When I had processed what was in front of me, I immediately wished I had seen nothing. I was currently staring at the one person I did not want to see.

"What are y'all doing here?" Sierra squealed. "I thought you couldn't come!"

We all looked at each other in disbelief. Out of all of the people in this hotel, she was the one we ran into. Nobody knew what to say and we all had a desire to disappear.

"Well, everything just worked out last minute!" I lied quickly.

"Why didn't you tell me?" She badgered. "You really don't want to hang out with me, do you? I thought you guys were actually my friends!"

"No! Not at all! We didn't know if you were still going and didn't want to upset you if we could go but you couldn't." Serena covered up.

"Well y'all still should've told me! Now we have to hang out together." Sierra lectured.

"Okay, look." Annalise started, standing up. "I'm just gonna tell you what we're all thinking. We've been planning this trip for months... Without you. And we told you we weren't going because we really don't like you and would love to avoid you."

Sierra looked shocked. "But-"

"Bye bye." I interrupted.

Sierra stormed out of the restaurant and we continued to eat our lunch.

Annalise's POV

"Maybe that was a little harsh." I said after a few moments of silence.

"No. I think it was great!" Alex replied, faking a round of applause.

I just snapped. She was acting so privileged and seemed to think we all wanted to hang out with her. I was tired of lying and tired of her acting like queen bee (or "green bean" as Nash's sister would say). I finally said what needed to be said and moved on. I hoped this wouldn't come back to bite me in the butt later.

After lunch we went back up to the hotel room. We continued to sort through our things and double check to make sure we had everything we needed for the next day. We all tweeted and watched tv for a while, before becoming bored. We debated over what to do and after a while we decided to swim. We changed into our swim suits, and threw on shorts and t-shirts over them. After grabbing a few towels, we headed downstairs.

When we got to the pool, it was filled with obnoxious little boys. They looked like they were maybe twelve at the oldest. Instead of swimming and dealing with the little brats, we laid out on lounge chairs beside the pool.

Eventually, they all left and the pool became quiet, but we were all too relaxed to get into the pool.

"I needed this." Serena stated.

"Definitely. This is so much better than thinking about school." Brooklyn replied.

"Thanks. Now I'm thinking about school." Alex chimed in.

"Guys! Relax! This is summer vacation! And tomorrow... We meet the boys!" I reminded them.

We were all lying on our stomachs, tanning, when all of the sudden we were disturbed by being thrown into the pool. All I heard were squeals and splashes. I finally emerged, shocked and coughing, and saw no one else.

I turned around and found Brooklyn, Serena, and Alex, all as shocked as I was, along with a few new faces.

Wait. These faces weren't new. I knew exactly who they belonged to!

***authors note***

Pretty sure we all know what guys will be there.

I think these chapters keep getting shorter... Sorry.

Wait.

No I'm not.

Hope y'all like it!
