Alex's POV
Life as a teenage girl is basically a huge cliché.. At least mine is. I spend my free time on YouTube, Vine, Twitter, and Instagram fangirling over the perfection that is MAGCON boys. But I'm not alone.
To help me fangirl, I have some of my best friends: Annalise, Serena, and Brooklyn. Together, we text and tweet about how perfect it would be to marry any of the guys on tour. We all have dreams of becoming "famous" on the internet and eventually joining the tour.
Serena and Brooklyn share a Vine account, sorta like Jack and Jack. They make people laugh by being stupid, which they're pretty good at. Annalise makes videos on YouTube. She claims she wouldn't be very funny in 6 seconds. I just sing on Vine or YouTube or wherever, just like Shawn Mendes. I have a goal of becoming as amazing as he is.
Then there's Sierra. She wants to be friends with us, and we do hang out with her sometimes to make her feel less left out, but she's just too difficult to deal with all of the time. She constantly argues over everything and has to cause some sort of conflict. Sierra and I both like the same MAGCON guy, Shawn Mendes, so of course that's a major source of conflict.
We were all super excited because MAGCON was coming to San Antonio, only a couple of hours away from where we live. It was a week away and we were all busy getting ready for the trip.
"I can't believe it's so close!" Serena said during our Skype call.
"I know!" Brooklyn chimed in, "We're so close to meeting our soulmates!"
"Soulmates? Isn't that a little dramatic?" I asked.
"Not really. When you think about it, it could be true." Annalise explained.
I rolled my eyes and continued to pack. My suitcase was full of shorts and tanktops so I could fit in more presents for the boys.
"I'm thinking about making a Vine, Brooklyn. Wanna come over to help?" Serena asked.
"Sure! Be right over!" Brooklyn answered, ending her Skype call.
We all met up to get lunch together and run errands before leaving town.
We've all been pretty good friends for a while. Serena and Brooklyn have been friends since they were in diapers. I met both of them in fifth grade, when I moved to Texas from Indiana. Serena met Annalise at the end of middle school and Brooklyn and I met Annalise this year. Serena, Brooklyn and I are all sophomores and Annalise is a junior.
We're all pretty different too.
Serena has long dark brown hair that reaches her waist with a single blond streak. Her tan skin and brown eyes hint at a Hispanic lineage. She is the shortest of all of us, at 5'2". She was wearing light wash shorts paired with an Aztec print top. She had gladiator sandals on and had her nails painted a gold color to match her shirt. She adores cats and John Green books. She is smart, sweet and always knows what to say to cheer someone up.
Annalise has shoulder length thick curly hair with a blond streak in the back. She has dark skin with a Carmel undertone hinting at mixed lineage. She has dark brown eyes that appear almost golden in the sun or when she is angry. The tallest of the four, at 5'6", she towers over the other girls. She was wearing a pair of high waisted light wash shorts paired with a floral bustier top and a cream cardigan over top. She was wearing a pair of matching light pink sandles. She loves to eat and is often found munching on a snack of some sort. She has a weakness for One Direction and Frozen. She can be sweet but has a sassy streak a mile long.
Brooklyn has long blonde hair that reaches mid-back and bright blue eyes. She has fair skin and is a little taller than Serena and Alex. She was wearing a floral high waisted skirt with a white sweater and a matching light pink beanie. She was wearing her favorite pair of converse that are scuffed up but reliable. She has a weakness for The Killers and Parachute. One of her favorite things to do after school is to go to Starbucks with her friends.
I have dark blonde hair that falls about halfway down my back. I have tan skin and eyes that change from blue to green. I am around the same height as Serena. I'm shy at first but after a while, you'd begin to think I'm insane. I've been known to have an attitude also. I was wearing dark wash jean shorts with a white crop top stating "BOYS ARE BETTER IN BOOKS" and a black beanie. I was wearing a pair of black combat boots. I love listening to Ed Sheeran and The Neighbourhood while reading some of my favorite books.
We're all so different and yet so similar. Our obsession with Augustus Waters and all the MAGCON boys brings us closer together.
Serena's POV
After lunch and errands, we all went to my house.
"I got a can of silly spray for Taylor." Alex said.
I laughed. "Isn't that banned?"
"Yeah," she shrugged, "it'll make it's way in somehow."
"I just hope Vicky doesn't try to join in last minute." Annalise remarked.
"It's not like we have room for her anyways." I replied. "The car seats 7 people. My mom and Alex's mom are going. Plus the 4 of us. That makes six. And we could definitely use that last seat for luggage."
"Speaking of luggage, we need to limit what we bring to one suitcase. There's not enough room." Alex stated.
"One?!" Brooklyn exclaimed. "How do I just bring one? Y'all are crazy."
We all laughed and continued going over the list of necessities.
"Uh oh."
We all looked over at Brooklyn, who was looking down at her phone.
"Sierra texted me." Brooklyn started. "She's got tickets to the tour in San Antonio and asked if we wanted to go with her."
