Ch: 17 Tomb of memories

"Wasn't expecting that" I said as I held the key tightly against my chest.
I reached my hand out to feel through the space in front of me making sure there's no traps or anything.
"Ok it's all good" I said as I stepped in and kept one hand out to feel what's in front of me.
"Huh?" My fingers passed but not my arm or anything else would.
"What's happening?" I said confused using both hands feeling the air I front of me."mother help me out here" I said
"Could this be.....a barrier?!" I said
"That's right" a voice said and it was quiet as if it was from far away deeper into the hall.
"Who's there?!" I asked taking a step back
"I am Yuriko Soma " she said
"Y-your my mother?" I whispered in shock."wait wait wait, that's not possible my mother's dead" I said
"Yes I am dead" the voice said
"Then why are you talking to me?" I said as I tightly held the key."your an imposter aren't you?!" I said correcting myself because if it wasn't I was talking to a ghost....most likely...
"Hehe, I'm not an imposter" the voice said.
"I am what I have left behind on the day I died" the voice said..
"What do you mean?" I asked
"I used the last of my strength before I died and created this place for my Daughters" the voice said
"Well then if you are my mother, let me through" I said
"Only if you can prove that you're my daughter " she said
"Ok...my face" I said
"I can't see anything, I am only a voice." The voice said then added"and plus anyone could resemble me"
"This golden key" I said as I open my hand
"You could've stolen it" she said
"Seriously?" I sighed "then what about..." I said thinking
" so you really aren't my daughter" the voice said "then you shall di-"
"My blood!" I said Interrupting her "in your daughter and bound by blood so blood should work right?" I said
"Very clever" the voice said "Wipe it on the barrier and you shall pass if you are my daughter."
"Ok" I bit my finger and did what she said, and I walked through without any trouble.
"Whoa," I said as I looked straight and around, I was in a sparkling room, sparking balls were flying around.
"What would you like to ask me?" The voice said
".....being pregnant" I said looking around
"Very well" she said and a sparkling ball appeared before me and showed me her past.

*Yuriko's past when she was pregnant with me
"Honey!" She yelled and my father came running in.
My father looked way younger and more handsome, maybe in his 20s. My mother looked beautiful and looked to be in her 30s also.
"What is it darling?" He asked walking over to her.
"My powers aren't working!" She said as she did some movements with them.
"Yuriko! What's the big fuss?" An old lady said as she came in, she had white curly hair and she looked old. But she had a perfect posture and walked straight an gracefully toward my mother.
"Mother! My powers don't work " Yuriko said
"Ugh! That's it? That's totally normal!" She said " because of your pregnancy your powers won't comeback until you are 3 months"
"What if it doesn't come back?"  My father asked.
"Then you have twins" she said
"How do you know that that's true?" My mother asked
"Well it happened to my grandma" she said "it was normal when your powers doesn't work but after 3 months she never got it back" she said
"Then when she gave birth one died after a week or so while the other was healthy and her powers were so strong it flowed around her for almost a week, my grandma never got her powers back."She said looking straight at Yuriko " I hope my grandchildren and my great great great great great great great great children won't have the same fate" she said
"...I hope I don't have twins if that's the case" my mother said as my father hugged her tightly.

*back to the present
"That means....that I have twins?" I asked
"If you are 3 months and your powers haven't come back yet yes" the voice said
"Mother I have to go now, thank you for this," I said as I turned to leave and I came out of the barrier.
"Mother with this place shut down after I leave?" I asked my back to the barrier
"No" she said"I'm always here for you"
And I left after hearing those words, the tomb didn't disappear after I left. I was glad, but I regretted one thing..
I just learned that one child would die if I had twins....
