One glance says it all

If Iko had to pick someone that she loved the most on the rampion she would have to say that it would be either Kai or Thorne but one of them wasn't the best choice.

One would assume that the good choice would be Kai since he was good and sweet and caring and most of all that boy was hot!.

They would also assume that Thorne was the bad choice as he was a known convicted criminal and a major player.

Unfortunately for Iko that wasn't the case. See Kai was taken by her best friend Cinder and the not entirely human code was more important than boys so Iko wouldn't steal him from cinder.

Even if the boy was smitten with Cinder she was sure she had the ability to take him. Iko was going to take the high road though.

Most people wouldn't believe that Thorne was the good choice in this situation but he kind of was by default. Iko would totally go out with Thorne if she had the chance. She knew he was a player and that their relationship wouldn't last long but at least they'd have a relationship. Plus Thorne was free he had no interest in anyone but himself.

Iko said as much to Cress when they were sitting on her bed later. Iko didn't mind hanging with Cress she was nice way too nice but Iko liked her that way. She had also saved Thornes from dying so that was an bonus. Besides there was no one else to hang out with cinder and Kai were always together, Scarlet and wolf were off making tomato soup for a romantic date - that did not include Iko because it was a date not a gathering - and Thorne was off captaining the ship sigh.

Iko noticed that Cresses cheeks were starting to go really red and the young girl seemed a bit uncomfortable. Iko checked the temperature 37°C that was the perfect temperature so it couldn't be that maybe she was just impressed at Iko's passion.

Iko asked if Cress was ok but the young blonde just nodded saying she was only tired.

After a couple of hours it was dinner time Iko had left Cresses room by then and had been watching some net dramas. There was one where a girl was betrayed by her best friend because her friend went out with the girls secret boyfriend.the girl had a mental breakdown and became a social outcast.

Iko couldn't help think about cinder and Kai. She promised that she would never do that to cinder because Iko may have been an android but she really did care about Cinders feelings but Iko wanted to be more human so that meant getting loads of friends.

Iko had researched online and apparently making friend was hard. Iko decided that she would become best friends with the easiest person there which was Cress.

At dinner everyone was eating while Iko just watched. Iko took pride in the way she noticed things. She saw the way Cinder and Kai unconsciously leaned towards each other, she saw the way Scarlet and Wolf found ways to touch each other and couldn't stop smiling and she also noticed that she had no one to do any of that with Iko was lonely.

At least Cress and Thorne were too she would have talked to them except for the fact that they had seats at the end of the table and they probably couldn't hear her anyway, she couldn't even hear them.

Iko decided to just watch Thorne and Cress it was too painful to watch the other couples. Cress said something to Thorne and his lips quirked up and he began laughing while Cress watched looking pleased with herself. Cress looked at Thorne weirdly really weirdly almost as if she was, yearning for him but no that would never...

Thorne regained composure and Cresses cheeks reddened as she quickly looked down at her plate. Thorne watched her a wistful smile on his face he had almost the same expression as Cress had on her face, which meant that

"Your in love with each other!" Iko yelled standing up from her chair

She heard wolf say "she's my alpha" and Scarlet leaning into him to give him a kiss on the cheek at the same time Kai and cinder said "ya I think we are" in unison.

Iko only eyes for Cress and Thorne who were staring at her shocked while stealing secret glances at each other.

Iko felt a hot disappointment she really had sort of liked Thorne but she knew that he and cress belonged to each other. In fact now that she thought about it their relationship made perfect sense they were now her OTP why hadn't she thought of it sooner. She was going to blame all the other couples around.

Iko sat down slowly "sorry cliffhanger at the end of one of my net dramas just realised something about it" she explained.

It was true she had learned something Cress was now her best friend but Iko wasn't going to be a social outcast.

She excused herself and left the room before the rest were finished after all she had some cresswell fanfics to write.
