Cole is parole officer, just like Garvey, he wanted to help people get into circle justice. Peter is an accountant at the PNC bank in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Cole and Peter were all ready for work, Peter was wearing a blue PNC uniform, and Cole was wearing a red flannel t-shirt and blue pants. Cole and Peter entered the kitchen again, to make lunch for work. As Cole packed his bag for work a small picture of Garvey slipped out, Cole picked it up and examined it.

Coles vision started to blur, as warm tears ran down his face on to the picture. Peter looked up and saw what was happening. He walked over to Cole and put his arm around him, Cole turned and hugged Peter hard. Cole started to cry hard, tears ran down his face, and on to Peters blue shirt. Peter stood there, quiet, he let Cole cry.

Peter had known Garvey too, Garvey had been there when Cole and Peter were on the island together. Garvey had helped Peter forgive Cole, it was hard to see Cole so upset, Peter never liked it when Cole cried. especially because Cole was such a stronger person. Cole released Peter, he wiped away his tears, "I'm sorry" he said "Garvey was just so close to me, he never gave up on me, even when I was a little punk," Cole explained. Peter looked at Cole with concern in his eyes "I know," he said quietly "if it wasn't for Garvey I'm not sure me and you would be here together right now."

Cole smiled weakly and picked up Peter from his hips, "I love you so much, you know," he said. Peter blushed and smiled, "I l-l-love you more," Peter said, as he leaned in and kissed Cole. Cole and Peter stood there together until Peter glanced at the clock, "oh shit, I'm gonna be late for work," Peter said grabbing his stuff. Cole looked at the clock that read 8:45, "oh your right," Cole said grabbing his things as well. Cole and Peter rushed out the door, leaving the picture of Garvey behind on the table.

Cole ran to his red Mini Cooper, and threw himself in. Peter ran to his black Toyota, and did the same. They both backed out and headed for work. Cole drove in silence, he listened closely to the sound of the car running its warm wheels against the hard cold tar of the road. He smiled to himself, he couldn't believe almost 20 years ago he had destroyed the life of a small innocent boy, who had no way of defending himself.

He couldn't believe that boy was now his husband, and that the small boy loved him. Cole looked at his hand on the steering wheel in-front of him. He looked at the road, and of the other cars zooming past, along with trees lining the road. The bright sun peaked through the tree's and into Coles eyes. Cole lifted one hand to shield his eyes, all of a sudden Coles phone started to vibrate.

Cole glanced down at his phone, and quickly read the caller ID. It was coming from the school, Cole picked up his phone and answered with a sharp "Hello?" A voice started talking from the other side of the call, "Hello, I'm the principal of _________ high school," it said with a concerning tone of voice, "I am very sorry to bother you at this time, but your daughter Lora Matthews, is in my office and I am curious to know if we could set up a meeting, to talk about her behavior?" Cole took a deep breath, "alright, when would you like to set up this meeting?" he asked, a bit annoyed, "I'm free for an hour or two at one o'clock," Cole looked at his watch, he was already late.

The voice on the other side said happily "oh perfect I'll see you at 1:10 to 1:20, if that would be alright?" Cole rubbed his forehead and said quietly, "yeah, I'll be there." Cole ended the call and, dialed Peters number. It rang for a few seconds, until Cole heard a small click of Peter answering. Cole hesitated for a few moments, then he heard Peters voice say "Hello, Peter Matthews here," Cole quickly responded "hey Peter what are you doing at one o'clock?"

Cole waited a few moments for Peter to answer "uh, I'm eating my lunch at one, why?" Peter answered a little surprised. Cole took another deep breath, "well you think you could skip lunch, and come with me, to a meeting with the principal of Lora's school, to talk about her behavior?" Cole asked bluntly. Peter hesitated, and then answered "yeah, I guess I have time," Peter paused, and then continued, "whats going on, do you know?" Peter asked.

Cole pulled into his parking spot at work, "no but I'm sure we'll find out," Cole answered more than a little bit annoyed. Cole hung up the phone, and walked out of the car. Cole walked as quickly as he could almost running into a sprint, for the office door. He walked in and immediately saw his boss. Cole slipped through, over to his own area to talk to his co-workers if anyone could cover him at one o'clock.
