FALL
Harry watched Niall with his mother as he said goodbye to the short blonde woman, then ran through to the platform. He smiled as Niall hugged his mom and then waved goodbye to her. Harry did the same with his own mother and father, and then quickly followed after Niall.
He followed the short blonde head through the crowd, losing him a few times but then spotted him boarding the train. Harry grinned when he followed a couple students behind Niall, noticing the boy turning into an empty compartment.
Harry ran his hand threw his lengthening hair and pushed it up and to the side, pulling his satchel over his shoulder and entering the compartment with Niall, pushing his suitcase up onto the top rack and pretending not to notice the Hufflepuff.
Meanwhile Niall nearly groaned when he looked up and saw who had entered the compartment with him.
Harry soon sat right in front of Niall, smiling at the still short and petite boy who had Viola, his cat, on his lap, and crossed his arms.
"Oh, hey Niall." He said, smirking.
Niall crossed his legs and frowned at Harry. "Hello, Harold."
"That's not my real name, you know."
"Does it bother you?"
"A little."
"Okay, Harold." Niall smiled sweetly in return.
Harry shook his head fondly and ruffled his not-quite-yet shoulder length hair.
Niall watched Harry's large hand run through his hair and the annoyingly charming smile on his face.
After awhile of the two boys sitting in the compartment and barely talking, Niall reading a book and pretending not to notice Harry staring at him, Niall finally shut his book.
Harry noticed that Niall didn't really grow along the summer, but he did lose a tiny bit of baby fat. He was slimming down, even though he still had sweet little red cheeks. His eyes were still the gorgeous shade of blue, and his skin still the pale porcelain.
Niall was blushing all while Harry was looking at him, trying not to look at Harry in return. Harry's hair had grown a bit over the vacation into a bit of a mane, the curls straightening out the slightest. His acne had almost faded and he had grown quite a bit in bulk and height.
"Right, well, I'm going to go change into my robes." Niall sighed after a bit, standing up.
Harry stood up too. "Would you like some help with that?" He smirked.
Niall rolled his eyes and scoffed, but Harry noticed the small little blush crawling up his neck. "Yeah, right." He said and then made his way out of the compartment.
Harry sat down in his seat and smiled, rubbing his hands.
This was going to be hard work, but he was definitely going to enjoy it.
When the boys arrived at Hogwarts, Harry insisted on staying with Niall, more like trailing along after the boy, throughout the ride to the castle and then accompanied him to his common room after the large feast.
When Harry was walking Niall back to his common room, Niall suddenly stopped, waiting for other students to pass by before pulling Harry more into the darkness.
"Harry, what are you doing?" Niall asked, sounding exasperated.
Harry was surprised. "What do you mean?"
"I'm just—why are you following me around?"
Harry grinned. "Because you're the only thing I need in my room of requirement."
