Yanagami Haruka, Chapter 3

The next morning, I join Mrs. Shiori and her husband watching today’s news on TV because I woke up too early. According to the weather report, today will be a really windy and rainy day. There’s a possibility to be a stormy rain as well.

Shiori                          : “Aoki, don’t forget to bring your umbrella. The weather isn’t looking so good today”

She looks out the window.

Me                               : “Yeah, it’s going to rain hard huh?”

Shiori’s Husband    : “Maybe it will be a bit stormy. Be careful later if you’re going home”

Me                               : “Yeah, of course”

After we finished our breakfast together, I left to school. On my way to the station, it’s already drizzling. So cold today… I pressed my coat tighter as I hold the umbrella. I arrived at the station and I see Haruka there, reading something. I decided to greet him.

Me                               : “Hey, good morning”

Haruka                       : “Oh hey… good morning”

No energy at all as usual…

Me                               : “You didn’t bring umbrella?”

Haruka                       : “I didn’t know it would rain but I arrived before it started”

Me                               : “You didn’t see the weather report today? It’ll be a raining today”

Haruka                       : “No… I never checked it”

And then our train arrived. When we reach the station and suddenly the rain becomes so hard. I’m not sure if I can get to class dry… But I do still need to go to school right? I will feel so bad if I skip school, since Mrs. Shiori pays for this. And I open my umbrella then I remember something.

Me                               : “How will you go to school?”

I remember Haruka didn’t bring his umbrella.

Haruka                       : “…”

He looks to the rain. Looking to the rain won’t make it stops…

Me                               : “Here, we can share the umbrella together”

Haruka                       : “No, that’s okay… You’ll get wet”

Me                               : “Huh?”

Haruka                       : “…”

Me                               : “So you’re thinking to walk to school without anything and get there to school with you soaked? You’ll get sick you know?”

Haruka                       : “No other choice”

Me                               : “Oh come on, you don’t have to be shy about this. Stuborn”

I pull his uniform.

Haruka                       : “W-what are you doing?!”
