Yanagami Haruka, Chapter 10

We got attacked by 3 bad guys on our way home. Haru is injured, I can’t fight, and they are far stronger than us. I’m thinking of something that might help us. That’s it! I’m still holding my phone behind Haru’s back and I immediately text Natsuki. I tell her to call the police to come here. I tell her the checkpoint and she replies fast. The help will come soon…

Bad Guy 1                 : “You have some guts kid!”

Haruka                       : “….”

He holds my arm really tight. This is actually hurting me… Suddenly the other guy run toward us and draw his knife to us. No way! Police please come faster oh my god…

Bad Guy 3                 : “Go to hell kid!!”

I reflexly step in front of Haru. And the bad guy stops running and stares at me.

Haruka                       : “What are you doing?!”

Me                               : “Stop it!”

Bad Guy 2                 : “Brave little girl”

????                            : “Hey you! Stop it right there!”

Me                               : “Huh…?”

It’s the police! There are 3 cops and running toward us.

Bad Guy 1                 : “Run! Run!”

Bad Guy 2                 : “Shit!”

I feel so relieved that they come right on time. Thank goodness no one get hurts…

Police 1                      : “Are you two okay? Got injuries or something?”

Haruka                       : “No we’re not injured”

Police 1                      : “You two go chase them!”

Police 2&3                 : “Right!”

Me                               : “Thank you for coming, that was really right on time. Thank you so much”

Police 1                      : “Oh young man, what happened to your head? Poor you got into this when you’re injured already”

Haruka                       : “Oh… this. An accident on the other day”

Police                          : “I see. Well, where are you going? I’ll take you two there”

Me                               : “The station”

Haruka                       : “Yeah”

Police 1                      : “Okay, let’s get in the car”

We arrived in the station and we thanked the police again. We’re waiting for our train.

Haruka                       : “You could’ve got hurt, you know”

Me                               : “What?”

Haruka                       : “You stepped in front of me like that… gave me a heart attack”

Me                               : “I just didn’t want you to get hurt because of me anymore”
