Haruka got 2 tickets for a ride to ferris wheel. He asked me to ride with him and I agreed. We’ve queued and now we’re getting on the cab. The cab has now glass for the window, it’s open air. We keep quiet as the cab is going up and we’re now in the highest point. The cab goes so slow, so we can enjoy the Tokyo night time scenery up there.
Haruka : “Beautiful…”
He mumbled.
Me : “You like watching the scenery?”
Haruka : “I like sightseeing, nature and else”
Me : “I see. It’s really pretty from up here”
Suddenly the cab stops moving. And the crowds down there started to panic.
Me : “W-what happened? It’s suddenly stopped!”
Haruka : “I think they got a problem with the machine down there…”
He watches the crowds down there.
Man 1 : “Hey the machine won’t work!”
Man 2 : “Use the emergency button!”
Man 3 : “The button can’t be pressed! What should we do?!”
Man 2 : “I’m going to call the engineers!”
Crowds : “Hey, get me out of here!!”
Crowds : “Yeah!! Someone help us please!!”
Everyone in the cabs is starting to panic even more.
Me : “That means we have to stay here until they fix it? Oh god…”
Haruka : “You can jump down there”
Me : “Are you out of your mind?”
Haruka : “I’m just joking”
He chuckled. Wait, he said he’s joking? I didn’t know he can even make a joke… I give him a weird look.
Haruka : “What?”
Me : “I didn’t know you can joke…”
Haruka : “…”
He looks back to outside. It’s been so long and the machine hasn’t repaired.
Me : “Is this going to take so long?”
Haruka : “Who knows…”
Me : “How can you be so relax in this kind of situation…”
Haruka : “It’ll be repaired soon or later, right? Not a big deal…”
