"Olivia?"
"Liv....."
It sounded like my name was being called. I wanted to respond, but I couldn't. My body refused to move, and my eyes, open.
I continued to lye there, helplessly as the name calling continued. Who was that? Why were they calling me if I was asleep?
I used everything inside of me to pry my eyelids open. I had to blink a few times in order to become fully aware of my surroundings, because for some reason, the world was blurry.
Eventually, my body gave in and the force holding me still dissolved. I moved my head around, groaning once I lifted my neck up. Both my head, and my upper back hurt like hell.
I winced, propping my body up against a... bookcase? I hadn't realized this, but I wasn't in my bed- or my room, even. I was still at the library.
I must've fallen asleep- but I can't remember ever getting to this spot, or falling asleep either. It was sort of like- it just kind of happened. That isn't even realistic though, is it? I'm sure I just fell asleep putting books back.
Then again, my cart was nowhere to be found. I was alone, with nothing around me to prove that I was doing something productive in the first place.
I sat there, pondering what could've happened until I was ready to stand up. Once I was back on my feet again, I walked over to the front desk. My keys and bag were still there- including the yearbook that was opened to the page with the boys basketball team photo.
I turned my head towards the hallways, noticing how they were pitch black. The school was locked down, meaning I was locked in. Shit.
"Olivia?" The voice called again. I whipped my head towards the sound, squinting my eyes once I saw an unclear figure walking around outside in the hallway.
I quickly ducked behind the desk, begging to shake once the library doors opened. What if he was a serial killer who found out all of my information and came to kill me?
"Olivia, are you in here?" I furrowed my brows. That voice sounded very familiar- and then I realized who it was.
I popped out from behind the desk, "Elliot?"
Elliot jumped, placing his hand over his heart afterwards. "Jesus- what are you doing? You nearly scared the life out of me."
I widened my eyes, "You scared me! You can't just break into a school late at night, and roam the dark hallways in dark clothing. I thought you were some freak."
He rolled his eyes. What was he doing here anyways? Clearly he was looking for me, but why, and how did he know where I was?
"What are you doing here?" I asked, grabbing my bag and keys.
