---Ben's POV---

The whole lunch, well late lunch, was extremely quiet for some reason, it wasn't bad silence, just like a thinking silence. "Yo Ian." "Sup' Ben." "The sky." He chuckled and looked at me, somehow knowing I was going to say something else. "Why are you so quiet?" Ian shrugged his shoulders and said: "I have no idea. I guess I'm trying to think of what to say, because we usually don't see each other in person... " He laughed and I smiled in response. "Well, what's going on in your life besides YouTube? We always seem to think about YouTube, so." "Nothing much really. Just some family drama, as usual. People are blaming others for things they didn't do and such, and now they're finding ways to blame me and my YouTube career for it. Not a big deal though, no physical confrontations about it. Just over the phone." I frowned. "I'm sorry. If you ever want to talk, I'll listen." "Thanks, but I'm good for now. Anyways, what's up with you?" "Well, I found a part time job besides YouTube. I work as a tech manager, and I only get called in when it's a really complicated problem, cause you know, I'm so pro." I put my hands on my waist and tried to act like I was the center of attention, and Ian started laughing. "Nice dude." He said while laughing. The rest of the time, our conversations were normal.

---Ian's POV---

As we were talking, I looked around the cafe, and there was a group of people staring at us more often than a person normally would. Either they were crazed fans, or some random people who were annoyed that we were loud. Ben couldn't see them, so I didn't say anything, I knew I just wanted to leave that place. Those dudes were creepy. As we walked out, I made sure to be out of seeing range from inside the cafe to ask what Ben wanted to do next. He said that he would rather walk around a bit, since his flight was so long, so we went window shopping, walking through town. On our way back to my house, Ben suggested to go to the park. So we walked through a path in the woods. At the end, the path opened up into a beautiful lake with flowers naturally growing and dragonflies flying around. We both stopped and stared, our mouths agape. "This. is. so. COOL!!! The flowers are so PRETTY!" Ben ran around laughing while I laughed at his craziness. He suddenly stopped when he pointed behind me, and I turned to see my uncle marching towards me. (BTW anything I say about family members in this, I have no idea what they're actually like. So yeah.)

---Ben's POV---

Ian turned to look at the man marching towards him, and I slowly walked so I was next to him. "Who's that?" I asked him. "My uncle Steve." "He doesn't look very happy...." "Nope." "IAN." "Yes Uncle?" "What ARE you doing right now?! You SHOULD BE getting a REAL JOB so that we can pay for your COUSIN'S MEDICAL TREATMENT! DO YOU WANT HER TO DIE?!?!" Ian shook his head. "Uncle, this isn't just my fault." "If YOU HADN'T TAKEN HER TO THE CARNIVAL, SHE WOULDN'T HAVE GOTTEN SICK." "That's not necessarily true, sir. She could have gotten sick from exposure to something long before that. Or it could be something that runs in the family." I replied respectfully. "EXCUSE ME, WHO ARE YOU TO TELL ME ABOUT MEDICAL KNOWLEDGE." "I know some things in the medical field, that's why." Ian pushed me back slightly, silently telling me to stop. I could see the uneasiness in his eyes. "Stay out of this, boy, or you WILL regret it." Ian's uncle pushed me back, and I tripped over a rock and hit my head hard on the ground. My head was spinning, and the first thing I heard was Ian asking if I was okay. I tried to stand, but I stumbled back when Ian caught me, sitting me down. I felt my head, and felt blood drip onto my fingers. I heard Ian get up, and the only thing I heard was Ian yelling at his uncle, then a slap, and a punch. I heard his uncle walk away, muttering "Worthless." under his breath. He tried to help me up, and I got dizzy and nearly passed out. As we were leaving the lake, my vision went black. The last thing I was aware of was Ian scooping me up and running.

---Ian's POV (Before Ben gets pushed)---

My uncle pushed Ben back, then he tripped on something, hitting his head on a flat rock. "Ben!!" I shouted, rushing to his side. "STEVE. WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS." "So you know how it feels to have someone you love hurt. "I CARE about Em (Cousin), and I'm doing the best I can!" "NO YOU'RE NOT IAN." He slapped me across the face, then punched me in the stomach, making me wheeze. I staggered over to Ben, helping him up, but I had to prevent him from falling. His legs gave out and he passed out, and I scooped him up with tears threatening to spill down my face and ran, bringing him to the hospital.
