"You think they're still alive?" I asked Cara who's sitting on the edge of the bed and, er, playing with my toes.

"Dunno," she shrugs nonchalantly, "Can I name all of them?" She asks, pointing at my toes.

I laughed, rolling my eyes. "You're weird,"

"I know, so this is Frederitoe." as she pokes my big toe, making me laugh louder.

"Stop it!" I scolded but still laughing nonetheless. "Seriously though, what's up with them?"

"Karlie's just like that. She likes to tease people, she's actually worse than me though she's a really good friend."

"Well, contrary to Taylor, she doesn't usually find it hard to get along with new people." I stated because it was true, she's always Miss Nicey Pants. That's why we became friends, well, part from we've been together hip by hip since birth.

"Opposite attracts, you might not know." She said before throwing me a wink. I laughed, trying to mask the blush that's creeping on my face. What's wrong with you, Ken? She's just kidding. Or is she? Afterall, you just found out that she's into girls. But it doesn't mean you are. AISH. This is getting insane.

"And anyways, can we stop talking about them and talk about us?"

"What?" I quickly blurted out, my eyes widening at her.

She fell into a fit of laughter and damn, why is she so cute?! Stop it, Jenner! Ugh.

"Oh my god, babe. You must've seen your face! That was hil-freaking-larious." She said between laughters and I tried to shrug off the endearment. She's a Brit, it's normal. You heard her call Karlie that. Stop feeling all tingly.

I tried to put on a poker face but her laugh is too contagious that I can't help but chuckle, "You're insane. And I didn't even get what you mean,"

She stopped laughing and wiped off an imaginary tear. I rolled my eyes, "So dramatic,"

"Oh shush you. Anyway, I mean, it feels nice to have a new friend."

"Don't you have a lot of friends?" I asked her, suddenly turning serious.

She shrugs, "If you mean those people who takes advantage of what I have, fame, looks and all, yeah, I have a freaking lot." She replied, a smile on her face but it doesn't reach her grey eyes.

I felt my heart being clenched. My eyes soften, "Well, that's... not good," was all I had to say, suddenly feeling speechless.

"Oh it's not, I've learned to shrug them off." She said and her eyes suddenly lights up, "And I've got Karlie and some real friends. And you!"

I didn't know how it happened but my heart swelled and the smile on my face was the widest I had for a long time. I bit my lip as my jaw starts to hurt from smiling. It was the most genuine thing I ever heard from someone and the look on her face says that she's sincere.

"How can you tell that I'm not like those other people who wants you for fame?" I asked and she looks at me. I was expecting for her face to fall but instead, the smile remained.

"I could just tell. I never felt so comfortable around someone I just met, well, except for Karlie but it's been a while. And I know I won't be disappointed in trusting you,"

I didn't waste time as I pull myself up into a sitting position and grab her for a tight embrace. She froze for a while in surprise but I felt her arms wrap around me after a second.

My heart was beating wildly inside my chest and I was hoping she won't notice it. Maybe I was just nervous, or it's her addictive smell.

Our moment was interrupted with a loud cough though.
