You'll Save Me Right, Daddy?

When a stormy night comes and thunder hits right near by. I see you as my super hero, daddy. Thunder strikes knocking the power out. The lights flash, I am so scared now. Thunder hits again, I can't see anything, daddy? I keep calling your name for you to say I'm right here and then I would stand by your side hugging you for the night time monsters not to get me. Daddy? Now you say I have to go to bed daddy? Okay I agree but I want to sleep in your bed though daddy because I am scared;shivers. Daddy says alright. We hold hands across the living room to get to his room. When we get there I feel as safe as I can be because without my daddy there would be no me. (Because with out you the night time monsters would have ate me by then.)

School Supplies

Oh no! First day of Kindergarten. I am really nervous. I really don't want to go. But when we went to the store to get my school supplies it was a bottle of glue of fun. At the store you say, "I have to get a backpack." I looked at all the backpacks thinking if I got something lame everyone would hate me. I decided to choose spongebob.Daddy said, "Alright, I'm not to happy with your decision but I will let this one slide." I really didn't know what he met by that. I slipped. I fell. I scraped my knee, daddy that was a big ouchy! I'm in so much pain now. Daddy comes rushing to my side saying, "I told you not to skip." I moan and I cry and I feel like I'm gonna die. But daddy comforts me saying, "It's alright everything is going to be okay." I feel a little bit better but I see some blood and daddy says, "Let's go get some band aids." I nodded my head as I wiped my last tear away. We go to the medicine section. I see all these medicines and I try to sound out the words and it's just too hard for me so I stop. Then I suddenly see band aids and I jump up and down screaming, "Band aids. Daddy says,"Calm down honey." I say, "Alright." Daddy sees the barbie band aids and says, "Alright let's buy these." I run to the check out and it hurt my scrape so bad but I didn't care. Daddy then says, "Wait up." We eventually meet at the counter and we check out. We drive home with the band aids and daddy fixes my cut. Then he says, "I'm sorry honey but were just going to have to get school supplies tomorrow." I sigh a little and then say, "That's alright at least we got out of the house and had a decent night." My daddy smiles at me with great pleasure and he seemed to have a proud look in his eye too like he was proud that I said that. I didn't care what he looked like though because as long as I got a smile on his face I didn't care.

Going To The Grocery Store

I told daddy, "We need to get some more groceries, were out of fruity pebbles, ham, gummie bears, orange juice, kit kats, apples, teddy grams, spongebob crackers, cherios, and cheese its!" "Honey calm down I just need to go to the grocery store, I will call a babysitter now." "NO, WAIT I WANT TO COME WITH YOU!" I say jumping up in down. Daddy says, "Okay fine, you can come with but I don't want you to act like this in the store, alright?" I say, "Of course" in a calmer voice. Daddy says, "Get your coat honey, please." I run to get my coat and plop it on. I run out the door with my daddy running after me. Daddy helps strap me in my car seat. Drizzle, pour, hitting hard, the rain comes down so hard hitting the car. I just wish the rain drops would turn into beautiful snowflakes. We drive, drive, drive, it feels like it's taking forever to get there when it's fifteen minutes. I ask every five minutes if we were there yet. When we walk through the entrance doors I feel so happy because this was my first time in the grocery store because every time my daddy went there he would just hire a babysitter for me. I jumped up and down. Daddy puts me in the cart so I won't go crazy over all the candy. Even though I did go crazy in the cart. We went to the check out section and I was so amazed. I asked daddy, "What are these machine thingies for?" Daddy says, "It's to add up all the prices on the items." I was a little confused on that but I finally figured it out and said, " Okay if you say so." BEEP, BOP, KABAM! I heat a lot of gagets going on. My daddy then says, "Honey, do you know what this number is?" As he shows me a dollar bill. I say, "Daddy that's a number one dollar bill." Daddy says, "Honey, this is called just a dollar, alright?" "Alright." I play with my fingers all the way back thinking that was really fun and I hope I can do it again.(I know that wasn't so much a poem, don't hate, this is more of a short story book anyways.)
