It was a normal day on campus. Sunny and clear skies, perfect weather for lounging out on the lawn. WHich most people were doing. Except me.

I was walking by the dance hallway when felt the deep rumble of bass, before I could even actually hear it. I followed the vibrations and came across the glass window of one of the studios. I took a peek inside and saw him.

Jung Hoseok.

We had gone to the same high school and now the same college. I always found myself intrigued by the happy virus that completely changed when in his own realm. The way he danced was completely mesmerizing.  He was in complete control of his body and it sent chills through my own. I always noticed him but he never really payed much attention to me. I was always one of the extras in the background of his life.

"You done stalking the poor boy?" I was brought out of my thoughts when an arm draped across my shoulders. I looked over to see the only person that I actually considered a friend. Namjoon. He was tall and handsome, but unbelievably annoying at times. We used to be neighbors and have been friend since childhood.

"I don't stalk him, I just like to watch him dance."

"Why don't you just talk to him?" Namjoon squeezed my shoulder in reassurance, he had known hoseok for a long time and they were actually friends but I always choked up when Hoseok tried to speak to me. "He doesn't bite you know."

"I know, I'm just shy. He's never noticed me before what makes you think he'll notice me now."

"Maybe you should try to make him notice you. Whenever he says hi to you, you just ignore him." I slumped at his words as I knew they were true. I wanted so bad to get to know Hoseok, at least be friends with him. But I was afraid of it ending in heartbreak. I knew the feelings I have would grow for him and he probably wouldn't feel the same way so why try. Even if he did feel the same way, it wouldn't last long and I didn't want to accept that.

"Hi guys. What are you doing here?" I looked up to notice the music had stopped and Hoseok now stood in front of me in all his glory. My breath caught in my throat and my mind completely blanked of words.

"Oh not much. I was walking by and found Aria watching you so I thought I'd keep her some company." Namjoon answered, flashing his dimpled smile. Hoseok smiled a little and brought his gaze over to me.

"You were watching? Was I any good?" His smile grew as he talked just waiting for my opinion.

"I don't know much about dance, but I thought it looked really good." My sentence trailed off at the end as I looked down in embarrassment. I can't believe Joon would tell him that I was watching him. I could feel my cheeks flare up in red and my ears burn. I wanted to run but Namjoons arm was holding me in place. I would probably have a bruise where his hand was gripping my shoulder.

"Oh really? Say Aria, could I speak to you for a minute?" I looked up and saw his smile was still there, "Alone please." His eyes shifted to Namjoon, who took the hint very quickly.

"Ok well I'll see you later then Aria." He ruffled my hair a little before giving me a wink and bounding off away from the dance hall. My eyes shifted to the man in front of me. I raised my eyebrows a little urging him to speak.

"Ok well, you're smart right?" I smiled a little at his question but nodded. "Great, I need a tutor and I was wondering if you'd be able to help me. That's only if you have time and want to, I don't want to be a burden."

"That's fine, I'll do it." I cut him off before he could ramble some more. Suddenly I was pulled into a tight hug followed by multiple "thank yous," My cheeks once again heated up and I smiled, embracing this moment while it lasts.

"When do you want to meet up?" He asked as he loosened up but moved his hands to grasp my thin arms.

"I'm free whenever really,"

"Ok how about we meet up in about an hour at the library and discuss?" I smiled and nodded at him. "Ok, I'll see you in an hour then." He let go of my arms and bound down the hall leaving me alone with my thoughts. I rubbed my arms where I was sure bruises would start to form and sighed. I slowly began to walk down the hall with a bright smile plastered to my face. When I got to the end I saw Namjoon standing there, obviously listening to the previous conversation.

"So you're actually going to help him?" He asked and I gave a quick nod. "I'm glad to see you're actually doing something to make you happy. Life's too short to be sad, you need to keep doing things like this." He pulled me into a warm embrace as if he knew exactly what I was thinking about at the moment. He was indeed right though.

Life is too short. And I need to start living a life I'll be happy with.
