I hurriedly made my way to the library, where Hoseok had asked to meet. We didn't set an exact time and I was so afraid I had left him waiting for a while. After our conversation I had gone back to my dorm, overcome with unexpected exhaustion, I had fallen asleep. When I woke up it had already been an hour and a half since I had last spoken to the dancer.
My eyes instantly found Hoseok, sitting at a table with his chin in his hand. My stomach immediately started doing flips. I made my way to the table and slipped into the chair across from him, setting my backpack down by my shaking leg. His sparkling brown eyes snapped up to me and his frown stretched into a heartwarming smile.
"I almost thought you stood me up," He said with a light chuckle.
"Oh no," my hands instantly went up in front of me to explain. "I had gone back to my dorm and accidentally fell asleep. I'm so sorry."
"No problem. I should have actually set a time." We went silent for a second just smiling at each other. My insides were swarming as I got lost in his brown eyes. The sun hit them just right, lighting them up perfectly to look like melted butterscotch with amber swimming around in the center.
"Anyways," He shook his head slightly and pulled a book out of his bag, setting it on the table. "I'm having trouble with some math,"
"Oh math is easy for me." I instantly lit up, glad that I'd actually be able to help him.
"Good, because I'm completely lost." A laugh bubbled out of his throat and he moved his chair closer to me so that I could see what he was working on. I took a glance and saw that it was some simple calculus problem.
"Oh this is easy, You just need to plug the numbers into this given formula." I pointed to the long formula on the next page.
"Ok, How about I try this one problem and you check it?" He sounded unsure of himself as he glanced my way. I gave him a warm smile and a nod, propping my head on top of the table. He quickly did the problem and smiled as he slid his paper over to me. I took a glance and my eyebrows furrowed.
"What the hell did you do?" I chuckled a little but instantly regretted it when I saw the frown on his face. I looked again and instantly saw his problem.
"I see the problem. You just did some stuff in the wrong order, you're going to have to multiply first. Easy fix." I smiled and worked through the problem with him. The same process went on for a few more problems with small banter in between until he got a few in a row correct.
"I'm feeling so much better about this," He smiled as he finished up the final problem. "Thank you so much Aria."
"No problem," I smiled and began packing up my stuff, shaking a little bit as chills racked my body.
"Aria, Do you think we could exchange numbers. Just in case I ever need your help again?"
"Yeah sure." I quickly rattled off my number as he punched it in his phone and stood up. He followed after me. My insides started to churn and I was taken by surprise when he pulled me into a bone shattering hug.
"Oh," He gasped a little as he pulled back, "You're burning up. Are you feeling ok?" His eyebrows furrowed and I could see the worry in his eyes.
"Really? I'm feeling a little cold." I shrugged my shoulders a little bit as he placed the back of his hand on my forehead.
"This can't be good." He frowned and grabbed my hand pulling me out of the library. "Let's go back to your dorm and get you in bed. I'll take care of you."
He looked back and grinned at me as the butterflies in my stomach once again came to life and flew towards my mouth in escape, forming a lump in my throat. I wasn't feeling great, but then again when was I?
~~~
Wow my chapters are very short, don't know if that's good or bad. Anyways I didn't really read over this so sorry for any mistakes.
Also why did I decide he needs help with math. I literally know nothing about math, I'm so bad at it.
