Ember's POV How could she say those things about my baby! She was meant to be my best friend! Sure this whole thing was badly timed but I would never dream of hurting an innocent baby. The child didn't get to pick his or hers parents so why should it have to suffer. I stood outside the apartment complex in the freezing cold crying. This was all too much for me and I could feel myself slowly falling apart. I was losing everything.............
'Ember!' I heard Frost call out from behind me. 'Look Frost if you're here to stick up for your girlfriend don't even bother!' I spat feeling my pulse race again as fresh tears ran down my bruised cheeks. 'Come here kid! Don't cry' he sighed walking over to me and wrapping me up in a tight hug. I began to sob louder as he rocked me side to side, trying to bring me any form of comfort he could. 'What she said wasn't right! I can't defend her when she's in the wrong!' He exclaimed. 'OH Frost! What am I gonna do?' I sniffled pulling back to look up to him. 'We are going to take you home first. You need to tell Mr J the news before he finds out on his own' he explained rubbing my arms. 'I'm so scared. What if he hurts us?' I whimpered instinctively wrapping my arms around my mid section. 'Don't worry. Everything will be fine' he said giving me an unsure smile. 'It's the Joker we're talking about! Nothing's ever fine with him. Come on let's get this over with' I grumbled walking towards the Rover.
The drive was silent for a while until I decided to voice my worries. 'Do you think Abby's right Frosty. Do you think I'm too unstable to raise the baby?' I asked feeling my bottom lip tremble. 'No! Abby once told me that all you've ever wanted in life was a baby and do you know what?' 'What?' I whispered. 'You are going to be the most amazing mammy ever! This baby is going to be the luckiest kid ever, having such a loving mother' he smiled squeezing my hand. 'You really think so?!' I whimpered with a small smile. 'Of course! Here this is for you' he grinned, reaching into his pocket and pulling out a card. Handing it over to me I felt myself go into shock as I looked down at it.

'Is that?' I was speechless. 'Yes! That's your baby ember' he announced making sobs pour out my mouth. This was my baby! This was mine and daddy's baby! He or she was so perfect, so beautiful! 'Oh Frost look at my little peanut!' I sobbed happily, running my fingers across the ultrasound. 'They're perfect kid!' He smiled. 'So perfect!' I agreed kissing the image.
The gates leading to the house were soon approaching us and I could feel my heart tightening in fear. 'I don't think I can do this' I whispered clutching the scan to my chest. 'Yes you can! You're stronger than you think Ember' Frosty reassured. 'Being an adult sucks Frosty, don't do it' I sighed. 'I think it's a bit late for me kid' he laughed.
My whole body shook violently as we pulled up outside the main door. 'Come on kid!' Frosty smiled. 'You go ahead. I'll follow in a few minutes, I just need time' I smiled back sadly. 'Don't be too long' he said getting out the car and walking into the house. I looked towards the entrance before looking down to my stomach and gently running my hand across it. 'I promise, nobody will ever hurt you my little peanut. Mammy will protect you with her life. I love you! Stay strong in there for me my precious little one' I cooed letting out shaky breaths as I tried to collect myself. 'Well little peanut, lets go get daddy' I sighed slipping the ultrasound into my onesie as I climbed out the car and walked into the house.
