Chapter Twenty Six 'A Mother's Punishment'

Ember's POV
My whole body trembled as the familiar golden gates came into view.
This was it!
I knew once I walked through the front doors all hell would break loose. The thought of not knowing what he was going to do to me was agonising. All I knew was that it was going to get bad.
'You need to calm yourself Ember' I heard Peter's distant voice call from beside me.
'I...I...I can't! He's going to kill me!' I sobbed shaking more.
'No he isn't! You and his little clown mean too much' he exclaimed.
'You haven't seen him during one of his out bursts. What you saw with Abby was nothing compared to what he's really capable of' I explained taking deep breaths.
'What are you going to do?' He asked me, worry seeping through his voice.
'Nothing! I deserve whatever punishment he sees fit for me' I frowned.

It felt like I was about to throw up my heart as the car came to a stop. I hesitantly took my seat belt off before turning to face Peter.
'Listen to me Doc! Once we get in I want you to go straight to your room and no matter what you hear, do not come out. I will not risk your life. Please don't argue with me on this, I know what I'm doing!' I frowned staring at him intently.
'But'
'No buts! Please just do as I ask' I begged, letting out a small breath as he nodded at me.

The haunting silence of the house made my blood run cold. Henchmen were scattered about cleaning up Mr J's path of destruction. I couldn't stop the choked scream that left my mouth as I noticed the three men dead on the floor. He had sure done a number on them. All that was left of them were their bodies from the neck downwards. Their heads laid as a newly formed pile of mush that was spread across the floor to make up the word HAHA.
'Go to your room now Doc. Do not stop for anything, run!' I urged not taking my eyes away from the scene in front of me.
'Em!' I heard a deep voice call out finally pulling me away from the horrifying sight.
'Panda!' I whimpered looking at him with wide eyes.
'What did you do?!' He demanded.
'I...I....where is he?' I whispered.
'In his thinking room!' Panda sighed looking up to the ceiling.
Nodding my head I quickly turned and began to make my way up the stairs.
My hands were sweating madly and I had to keep making sure the gun didn't slip out my hands. I was completely terrified and wanted to run but I know that would make the situation worse.
My tears blinded my vision and I could feel myself rocking from side to side as I turned to walk down the corridor. All I could see was the light coming from the room he was in, the rest of the house was overshadowed by darkness.

My heart froze as I finally entered the room and was met by his cold, hard glare.

He knew I was coming....
His stare made me want to run and hide but I also wanted to wrap myself in his arms. In my confused mind I hoped he would reassure me everything was alright but it was far from it.
I had well and truly messed up!
Nothing I could do or say could make this better.
'D...D...Da' I stuttered finding myself unable to speak any words.
'Emberrrrr' he growled lowly.
I let out a loud sob as I heard him say my name.
I wasn't Ember!
I was his little doll!
Hearing him say my birth name struck me in the heart in the most painful way.
I stumbled as I made my way over and kneeled down in front of him.
'Your gun daddy' I whimpered holding out a trembling hand, desperate to have weapon away from me.
Snatching it from me, he flung it straight into the wall making me yelp in fright and close my eyes.
'You tried to kill our baby!' He snarled out.
'No daddy I would never! I just wanted you to stop' I whimpered letting out breathless sobs.
'Yyyou have been a very naughty little girl!' He drawled out.
'I know. I'm so sorry daddy! Please forgive me' I begged flinging myself into his lap.
'DON'T TOUCH ME!' He roared ripping me away from him and standing up.

Quickly I stumbled up after him.
'I love you daddy' I cried trying to reach for him.

'Daddy has came to a conclusion little dolll!' He snarled as he began circling my quivering form.
'What daddy?' I asked feeling an overwhelming sense of dread wash over me.
'You are not FIT to be the mother of my little clown!' I heard him snap out from behind me.
'W...wh...what...do....y..yo..you...m..m..mmean?'
By this point I was ready to have a heart attack. My ears were ringing and my whole body seemed to be shutting down.
'It means yyyou! Are no longer apart of my child's life' he sneered.
'What but I'm carrying the baby! Daddy please I don't understand' I sobbed burying my face in my hands.
'Let me put this simple for you, since you're a bit on the slow side hahahaaaa! Once my child arrives, YOU ARE GONE!' He spat.
'You're taking my baby?!' I blubbered looking at him frantically.
'Iiiii am taking myyyy baby! You are nothing to this child now! Nothing!'
'No you can't do this! You can't take my baby!'
I could feel myself becoming hysterical.
'Oh but I can little doll ahahaaa! You better say you goodbyes now!' He cackled in my ear before storming out the room.

My screams echoed off the walls as I fell to the floor.
This was my punishment!
He was taking my little peanut from me......
Curling up in a ball I wrapped my hands around my stomach and sobbed as my heart finally tore into pieces.
