The girls dormitory in the Gryffindor common room was where Hermione was supposed to sleep. The only other person with her was Ginny, who seemed to jump straight into her bed, although Hermione knew she wouldn't sleep. None of them would sleep.

She lightly ran her hands over her bed's curtain. She remembered first meeting her room mates. From the first glance, Hermione wasn't too keen on Lavender Brown. She thought she was a snobby, only cared about fashion sort of girl. She wished she hadn't thought that.

She could remember how Lavender looked when she died. Fenrir Greyback had killed her after Hermione's fruitless attempt to save her. Lavender fell from the balcony and Hermione battled on.

Her mind drifted off to Draco. She never thought of him before the war and how handsome he actually looked. She wished she did. She liked him a lot and thought he was sweet to tell her about his feelings.

The memories of him came rushing back to Hermione. She remembered walking past him when he was smiling and laughing and generally having a good time with his friends. His eyes would lighten up when he smiled his winning, shining smile. He would roll up his sleeves, showing his muscles, when it was too hot.

Hermione drifted off into a comfortable sleep, her thoughts staying on Draco Malfoy.

-----

Hermione strode over bits and pieces of broken castle, which overtook the ground. She was in the Great Hall, examining the damage. The whole castle was messed up and it seemed like Hermione's whole life was messed up too. She could smell the blood and see it sticking to some surfaces. Their were a number of dead bodies surrounding her...

"Ron..." she whispered, moving over to the dead body.

One by one, she lifted the cover off of the corpses, looking for the right one. All the bodies looked so frigid and felt so cold. She panicked as she couldn't find Ron's body.

"Hey, babe," said a voice. It was a familiar voice and the words amplified the Hall.

Hermione quickly stood up and turned around to see Ron. He looked ghostly. Seriously pale but he had a huge smile across his face. His face was bloody and seeing him made Hermione tear.

"No don't cry," assured the ghost of Ron.

"I miss you..." said Hermione.

She walked forwards and raised her hand to touch his face. Her hand went right through him and Hermione just stared at him, crying.

"How's Harry?" asked Ron.

"Harry?" said Hermione, confused, "He kissed me."

She waited for Ron's reaction but he only smiled, muttering "I know."

"How do you-"

"I saw you, next to the Lake. He was upset because I died and he kissed you. No big deal." Ron leaned down and looked her straight in the eyes, "Harry isn't supposed to be with Ginny. I know he's supposed to be with you and I'd rather you love someone who will always love and care for you."

"Draco said he loved me and I-"

"Shhh." Ron held up a hand to her mouth, "Draco won't take care of you. I know he loves you a lot but he can't take care of you."

"Harry is like a brother to me. I really like Draco." Hermione explained, "Ron, I don't know what to do."

"I love you. Whoever you choose, Harry or Draco, I want you to be happy and I want you to know that I love you."

"But-"

Ron walked back a few paces, still smiling. A bright white light appeared amongst him and he waved before he was engulfed in the light. Hermione kept staring at the place where he disappeared.
