Before we knew it, it was time to leave. We had went to all of the haunted houses and been on six of the rides including the Intimidator, the Afterburn, the Nighthawk, and the Vortex. I didn’t leave Josh’s side a single time the entire night, well except for the time he played the games. He won me four stuffed animals, it was seriously the sweetest thing ever.

When we all got back to my house, my mom was in the living room watching some real housewives show. “Hello everyone.” She said turning the tv off. “Isobel, do you mind if I speak to you and Alice?”

We both nodded. “Guys can you please go to my room for a bit?” I asked turning back to Josh and Pierce. They nodded and walked down the hallway. “What’s up mama?” I asked plopping down on one of the chairs while Ali sat on the other.

“How are you feeling?” she asked me with a serious expression.

“Honestly, much better after spending the day with Josh.” I said with a smile.

“Do you still care about him Isobel?" My mom asked me still serious.

“Yea. Being with him today and last night has seriously been better than any day I had spent with Kole.” I said smelling my hair. It was an annoying habit that I had formed over summer break and ever since whenever I’m thinking or nervous I smell my hair. I know it’s weird, but don’t judge me.

“I think your necklace and Kole’s tattoo had it wrong. I know you two felt chemistry, but I think it was a false feeling of connection. I think Kole might be gay.” She said still as serious as she had been in the beginning.

Alice and I both broke out laughing. “Kole, gay? The kid has been all over girls since he was four.” Alice said still laughing.

“I know, but that is the only situation where a necklace and tattoo will give a false connection and his tattoo knows now which is why he cheated.” She said looking down at her lap.

“Omg! We have to set him up with my brothers friend Evan!” Alice squealed.

“They’ll be perfect!” I said joining her excitement.

“You mean you don’t care?” My mom asked looking confused.

“No! Why would I? I’m happy for him if anything.” I said laughing.

“I want to see something. Boys! Come back out here!” she yelled and they both walked back out to the front room. “Josh, do you have your tattoo yet?” she asked looking up at him and he nodded. “Take of your shirt. Isobel, where is your necklace?” Josh took off his shirt and I pulled my necklace out from underneath mine. “Walk towards each other.” We did as she told and my necklace began heating up and glowing like his tattoo. “Isobel take your necklace off and touch it to his tattoo.” I did as she told and his tattoo began changing and the design extended onto his chest.

“Woah.” Alice said with wide eyes.

“Is your necklace hot?” I nodded without taking my eyes off of his tattoo. “Is your tattoo hot?” He nodded still looking down at it. “You two are each other’s true soul mates.” My mom said smiling widely.

Josh and I stood unmoving until what she had said dawned on both of us. I looked directly in his eyes and he smiled wider than I thought humanly possible. In a split second I was in his arms and he had picked up and swung me around.

“Well, we’ll leave you two alone and let this sink in.” My mom said standing up. “You all are welcome to stay the night, but for now leave them alone to talk.” She said turning to Pierce and Alice.

They all walked down the hall and Josh and I just stood there. “So, we’re soul mates.” He said still smiling.

“Guess so,” I said pulling him closer. “Do you mind if I turn on the radio? I kinda feel like listening to music right now.” I asked taking a step back rubbing my arm.
