I'm not even sure I touched the floor in the alley outside I had run so fast. I wanted to get back into my room as quick as possible.
I didn't even want to go out shopping at all but the new school for me started tomorrow and I needed to get some stuff so I wouldn't stand out too much. And it was like half way through the school year so I would have already stuck out like a sore thumb.
And then there was that boy that started following me and that just made me wish I had never left the hotel room. This was the only place I felt safe now.
I reached my bed and fell down onto it. I wished I'd never have to leave this very spot ever again. My door suddenly knocked making me jump out of my skin. I pondered on whether to hide or call out because it could be the lady who helped me...
"It's only me, dear" The sweet old lady called out. As realisation hit me as to who it was, I stood up and let her in. She brought in a tray of food and laid it down on my small bed. "Some dinner for you"
I smiled at her. "Thank you very much" She had been so kind to me since she found me face down, cold out, in a dark alley in the middle of the night.
I had run away from the kidnappers when the chance was given but once I was out I realised I actually had no where to go. And so I wondered around for miles until exhaustion kicked in and I passed out.
Then she found me and took me back to the town she lived in. A small and safe community where she sat me down and urged me tell her everything. She promised to keep my secret and that she would take care of me until I figured out what I wanted to do next.
Except I didn't know.
All I knew was that I would never go back to that abandoned office block where they kept me all that time ever again.
Once the food was laid down she promptly left the room. Even though it was evening she still had to work. She was a maid at a hotel and so she kept me in the room the hotel allowed for her sister to sleep in when she visited.
I was so grateful because I honestly had no place better to go. It was either back to my captors or... end it all.
I couldn't have gone back home because my kidnappers said that if I ever escaped and told someone about them they would kill my mother. So I found a way of one way contacting her years ago and told her to pack up and hide. I wanted her to be safe if I ever managed to get out of there. She was the only family I had left and I hadn't seen her since I was thirteen. That's when I was taken.
Anyway she probably won't want to see me anyway I wasn't the best of daughters. Before I was kidnapped I would always argue with her and run away for days on end. That was how I got taken in the first place.
I ate my dinner and then settled down to get to sleep once I had packed for the next day. I was scared of going back to school... I mean I hadn't been in five years. Sighing, I turned in my bed, unable to sleep because of the never stopping adrenaline that always had to be pumping around my body- ready for the unexpected. Even though I wasn't with those dreadful kidnappers anymore my body was still confused. It had only been a week since I escaped.
Eventually my mind drifted off enough to let me sleep and I was simply left with the thoughts of the one person I actually missed from that abandoned office block.
The man who claimed to love me.
And I had left him behind.
But it wasn't like I could ever go back now so I suppose I just had to forget about him.

I pulled around a corner of what felt like the longest hallway in this stupid school. Kids scattered along the walls and by their lockers had stared, their judging eye's pouring into my skin. I had tried to look away but their glares had sidetracked me and now I was lost.
But instead of aimlessly leading onto another spotty-teenagery infested hallway my face was smashed right into the face of another. As our heads collided we both went hurling to the floor.
"Ow!" A fragile little voice squealed. A mop of long red hair was covering her face so I was yet to see whom I had given a concussion.
"S-sorry" I managed to mumble as I struggled to stand back up but my own locks of natural platinum blonde hair were preventing me from seeing much and even though it certainly felt like it, I couldn't tell if the room was spinning.
Eventually we both stood up and before could I say anything else she started laughing. I gave her a puzzled look although I probably just looked drunk because my face felt numb after that fall. When she realised I wasn't laughing with her she stopped.
"Oh, sorry. I needed that." Is all she said. I looked around wondering if she was talking about dropping something. There wasn't anything on the floor. "I mean I needed a laugh. I'm stressed out of my mind right now"
I nodded slowly at the crazy girl. "Glad I could be of service. Goodbye." I quickly muttered before I began to walk away but it wasn't long before her frizz ball of red hair was bouncing along side me.
"Wait, What's your name? I haven't seen you round here before." She asked as she tried to keep up with my fast pace.
"Uh, Aurora, but you can call me Rora." I mumbled.
Her face lit up as if she were happy she had even managed to get a reply out of me. I wondered if she had any friends due to her strange manner with me. "Nice to meet you. I'm Darcy."
Don't forget to....
