fourI couldn't keep my eyes off the money. I know it was kind of rude of me, but I could use that money for a lot. the boy was just throwing it in the wind like it was a piece of rubbish that needed to be discarded of. I tried catching them but the air carried them into the night sky that shines upon us.
he turned to face me.
"I'll give you five-dollars for every night you spend with me. here's your cash in for tonight." he hands a five-dollar note to me and turns back, shoving the rest of the money into his pockets.
"is that why you robbed the place? so I would keep coming out with you?"
"for me to know and you to find out." he chuckles.
"so I won't see you in the day then? only your dark side?"
"do you not like the dangerous side of me?"
I didn't know the answer to that. instead, I changed the topic. "where are we going now?"
"home." he said simply.
"my home?"
"do you want to go home?" after he spoke this, he turned and faced me, staring me directly in the eyes, sometimes shifting between them. I shivered under his gaze.
"I'm tired and I have school tomorrow." I said, shrugging nonchalantly.
"that sucks." he turned back around. "make sure you think of me, your blue boy in the blue who came out of the blue."
and I did. later that day, I was either falling asleep in classes or day dreaming about him. what was his name? where was he from? why did he come to me? what did he want from me? why did I let him take me on a ride? why did I enjoy it? my friends tried clicking on front of my face and screaming in my ears, nothing broke my trance.
after school as soon as I got home, I checked my room for anything. the cigarette he had flattened in my floor had disappeared. nothing outside the window or in my room proved that I had a visitor last night. I checked for the five dollar note. it was in my pocket. I checked my other pockets. i dropped a thick pile of money into the floor, checking my other pocket, it was the same, filled with money from a night I vaguely remember. that crosses off a dream then. didn't he say that he'd give me five dollars every time I went out? how come I have all the money we had stolen? my head was hurting so I decided to catch up on some much needed sleep. well, to tell the truth, I wanted the sun to sleep and for my blue boy to return to take me on another adventure.
