Chapter 3

5 Months Later

(Tobias POV)

Tris came out of the bathroom wearing one of my shirts and a pair of her shorts. She walked over to me and sat on the bed.

"I look fat." she says.

I chuckle and shake my head as her mom appeared in the chair.

"That's the joy of being pregnant." Natalie said.

Tris gasped and jumped off the bed and looked at her mother.

"Jesus mom, you scared the living hell out of me." Tris says.

"I'm sorry. I just thought that you might want to know about how your father and I are doing." Natalie said.

"Its fine, so how is dad doing?" Tris asked.

I didn't want to be in this conversation so I looked at my watch and realized that it was Choosing Day and Tris and I needed to train initiates.

"Um, I hate to burst your bubble, but Tris and I really need to go and greet the initiates in an hour." I said.

"That's fine. I'll be back late anyway." Natalie said.

She left and Tris walked over to me. I grabbed her hand and we put on our shoes before walking to the net.

(Tris POV)

I wanted to know what we were having. We both wanted a girl and we haven't even went to the doctor yet because we're so busy with everything. We planned on going after all the initiates got settled in. I was really excited though. Once we got to the net, we waited for the initiates. The first one fell onto the net and it was a boy.

"What's your name?" I asked.

"Tyler." he replied.

I looked at Tobias.

"First jumper Tyler." Tobias said.

Initiate after initiate fell and there was only one from Abnegation. Later they all went to eat and so did Tobias and I. After we ate, Christina and Zeke took over and showed the initiates where they would stay. Tobias and I went to the hospital and checked in with our doctor.

"Well, it looks like you're having twins from what the ultrasound says. Would you like to know the genders?" Darcy asked.

"Yes." the two of us said.

She smiled and pointed out the babies.

"Well, looks like you're having girls. They could either be identical or fraternal." she said.

We smiled and she printed off pictures from the ultrasound and we went home. Christina, Zeke, and Shauna were waiting for us in our apartment.

"So?" Christina asked.

"Twin girls." I replied.

"That's wonderful. Have you though of names yet?" Shauna asked.

"No, but we still need to get a bigger apartment and decorate the nursery." Tobias said.

"You two rest and we'll do that. We have nothing better to do tomorrow since its the initiates day to just tour everything." Zeke said.

"Great, we'll do that tomorrow." I said.

They all stayed a little while longer and left shortly after. I got into one of Tobias's shirts and a pair of sweatpants and climbed into bed. We were going apartment hunting tomorrow while the initiates took a tour around by themselves. Zeke, Shauna, and Christina were going to get paint and furniture for the babies and we would go apartment hunting. I layed down in bed and waited for Tobias to come in. He came only wearing his sweatpants and kissed my forehead.

"I love you Tris." he said.

I smiled as he pulled me close.

"And I love our babies too. I cant wait until they're born." he said.

I layed my head on his chest and we just layed there without talking for a while and soon we fell asleep.

I may or may not have a two hour delay tomorrow. Since I live in Iowa, there's supposed to be an ice storm tomorrow. If I have a two hour delay, I get an extra hour of sleep, but if school is closed, I could update my other story.
