Aris Williams

Walking away from the boy who had somehow enraptured me with his eyes in under the intense gaze of his hazel eyes, I wanted to pat myself on the back. Literally on the point of wanting to cry in anger because he had chosen me to do one of his stupid challenges, I kept my posture the entire time through, and he didn't suspect a thing.

"Honey, did you realize that Shonn Hunters's family runs the company I work for?"

Knocking me out of the senses, I looked up to my mother who looked amazing with her bobbed blonde hair that she curled at the end today because I had suggested it. Even though both her and dad had this light blonde hair, my brother Ander and I were cursed with the almost blood colored hair that our grandmother from my father's side had as a child.

She grew out of it, we never did.

"Yeah, he's a rich prick, everyone knows." Her eyes shadowed over at the use of my words (I have swore at least ten times in front of her today to piss her off) and then a silly grin passed over her face. "I was just thinking that maybe you and him could befriend each other?"

My mother - the forever suck up.

"What'd you do?"

A sigh passed her lips, she knew she couldn't pass anything over my head. She squirmed in her tight black dress that almost reached her knees, and put her arms on my shoulders, facing me completely. "I might have - err - uhm, told the Hunters that you were a lesbian."

Not mad at all, because everyone thought that about me, I just raised my eyebrow at her, where exactly was she getting at with this? "Why do they care about my sexuality?"

She then muttered something so quickly and mumbled together that all I had caught was 'offer - a week - parties.'

"English." She squirmed a little more, which made me remind myself that she was so much like a teenager it was ridiculous. Hell, I cant even think of anybody I know that's mature around here. It's like a party for adults who want to stay teenagers forever.

"I miiight have told them that you would supervise their house and prevent their son from throwing any wild parties. They have been trying to find somebody who wouldn't just give in to him at a flicker of his eyes, and I miiight have told them that you were a lesbian, so completely incapable of falling for his 'charm'. They're going away for a week for their tenth anniversary. Oh come on Aris, don't give me that look."

I was glaring at her as if she had just grown a second head, Hercules cut it off, and two more grew in its place. She was looking at me, begging me with the blue-gray eyes that I shared with her, and I almost gave in - just because I loved her so much.

"I'd rather chew off my own arm." Pushing her arms off of me, she pouted.

"Ari-" She started.

Cutting her off with yelling a straight,"NO!" And catching the eye of everyone in the room, including the delinquent hottie, I began to walk away, not giving a flying fuck about what anybody in this snotty area thought about my outburst.

I honestly don't think much of anything could get me to change my mind on the matter, for on most things, I was dead stubborn.

"800 dollars a day." My mother almost whispered it, but I could still hear it, because it was every single word I needed to hear.

Tears filling my eyes, I turned towards her, and enveloped her in a hug.

It might be enough to help Lauren.

...

"You're eyes almost look like lightening whenever you look pissed. It's kinda hot."

And boy, was I pissed. Before me, postered all over the school actually, was a picture of two girls kissing, one being my new friend JJ (Who I have hung out with three times this week, and its only Thursday) and the other one being Emily Sanders, a girl who I had honor classes with.
