I Hate Love

Weeks into school and Jet only talks to me like twice a day, and it's usually just to get advice about what Sarin might like.

Ziven and I have bonded over the weeks and we're now pretty close. I feel like my actual brother and Ziven got switched at birth and now this happened.

My brother, Garrett, and I are complete opposites. We aren't involve in each other's personal lives. The only time we basically ever interact is when there's something involving family. I haven't seen Garrett for a couple months. he lives in an apartment a couple miles away from home and he works downtown.

But back to the story.

Right now, Jet and I are in his room. Talking for the first time since what feel like forever. But sadly, the only cause of this was because we got paired up for a project in math and Sarin wasn't in that class. And the only reason that he's actually doing some work with me is because Sarin had ballet and couldn't text Jet for an hour. this is all I get. An hour a week. But that's only for the time we have the project.

"Okay, so I finished the project already. All you have to do is color the board," I told him.

"Seems simple enough," he said. Suddenly, his phone vibrated, alerting that he received a text. The smile washing over his face could only mean one thing: Sarin.

"Ok," I said. Hour over. "I guess I'll just go now, kay?"

He completely ignored me and proceeded texting Sarin.

I left and walked home.

I decided to text Ziven, someone who actually listens.

Me: Hey :(

Him: What's wrng?

Me: Jet being a b*tch

Him: Ignoring u again?

Me: Yeh... :'(

Him: Y do u care if he ignores u?

Me: Cause...

Him: Ur better thn him he's not wrth it

Me: Thnx I wish it was tru tho

Him: It is stop self pitying

Me: I'm not! >:(

Him: Sure u arnt

Me: Whatever

Him: Gtg mom's yelling at me fo not doing the dshes

Him: Seeya

I turned off my phone and tossed it to the side. Maybe I should get a new crush. Jet's obviously not going to like me anytime soon.

But of course I have no chance in any of the guys at school.

Maybe I should just ban love from now on.

Hm...

A bang from my bedroom door made me jump in surprise.

"Ket! Do you want to have pizza for dinner?" yell my sweet mother, pounding on the door.

From farther away, I could hear my da's voice screaming,"Don't do it! Ask for Chipotle instead!"

"Be quite! It's her decision!"

"Then why didn't you give her the choice of Chipotle?"

"Ketley! Yes or no?...to pizza?"

I opened the door to put an end to the yelling.

Most families yell...but not the way my family yells.
