It's been about two months into school. I haven't seen Jet for weeks. The only time I see him is when we pass by in school or during classes. Ziven has been driving me to and back from school. He's basically been my new best friend and Jet doesn't even notice. I don't even get how Sarin could've hypnotized him like that.
I got pushed out of my thought when someone pushed me. It was the end of school and just about no other student was still in the halls.
"Hey watch it!" Yelled the person. I turned around."...beautiful," said the voice.
It was Blake Dean, the player who has almost accomplished his goal of dating every single girl in our grade.
His face turned into a smile as he looked at me.
"Hey, I've never seen you around here before. You new?"
"I've been going to the same school as you for 7 years, thank you very much" I said, not concealing my hatred towards him. He was just an over-conceited egomaniac who thinks that he owns the world. I don't give a damn about him.
I started walking away from him and to the parking lot.
"Wow, hey. Where you going, babe?"
"Why you calling me babe, b*tch?"
"Hey, no need to get feisty."
He came a little closer and whispered into my ear,"Even though that's how I like them."
Anger boiled within me.
"First of all, man-slut, you're an idiot. Second of all, if you can't even remember a girl who's been going to school with you for years now, then that just proves that you're a self-absorbed over-dressed rat with cheese for brains," I never said that I was good with insults. "And finally, I suggest you stay away from me. Unless you want to get your butt whooped by a girl. I know you wouldn't hit me. So get out of my face and never talk to me again. Got it?"
He suddenly jerked his head. "Sorry, what'd you say? I was too busy watching your beautifulness," he said in a cocky tone. I knew that I didn't look good and he was just complimenting me so that he could lay another girl in school.
"Idiot," I muttered, turning around and walking away.
"Seriously, though, where are you going?"
"Wouldn't you like to know," I said angrily. I had finally made it to the parking lot.
"Yes, I would actually."
"Leave me alone," I said through clenched teeth.
"Why babe?"
"And stop calling me babe!"
"You know, millions of girls would be dying to get the chance to talk to Blake Dean."
"Well, unlike those millions, or millionth, I'm not a retard who can't stand looking at the hunchback of Norte Dam without screaming. Now if you'll excuse me, Quasi, I'll be leaving now."
"Huh?" he asked. Man, that sounded way better in my head. I just kept walking to where Ziven usually parks his car.
He shook his head and kept following me.
"Cute and smart. I like it."
"Stop following me stalker!"
"You wish you saw me at your house at night," he sneered.
"I swear if you don't leave me alone in the next three seconds, I'm gonna kick your *ss," I warned. "Three."
He wrapped his arms around me from behind. "Calm down, babe."
"Two."
He started kissing my cheek, trailing towards my mouth.
"One." He was still hugging me from behind and kissing me.
"That's it." I elbowed his stomach. He retracted in pain. I held his shoulders and kneed his balls. I then ran away to Ziven's car. I saw that he was already in there. I opened the passenger door, got in and quickly slammed it.
"I just kicked Blake Dean's balls," I said, scared. Ziven's eyes widened and he sped down the street till we were a few blocks away from the school.
He parked the car on the side of the street and turned to me.
"Ok! What happened?"
"He was annoying me," I muttered my defense.
"So you kicked his balls?!"
"I actually kneed them..." I said.
"If you need his balls then why would you kick them?!"
"No. Kneed," I enunciated. "With an 'k'."
"How are we ever gonna going back to school?" Ziven groaned.
"What are you talking about?"
"Blake's part of a gang. I used to be in it before I met you, remember? And do you know what happens when you mess with a gang member?"
I didn't reply.
"You get teamed upped and beat up by the entire gang! We are so dead," he groaned.
"I'm not too worried. Those guys wouldn't hit a girl. And all those girls are way too weak anyways," I shrugged.
"What about me?! I'm not a girl! And you just made me your getaway partner!"
"Relax. I promise that you won't get hurt."
"And how are you gonna stop me from getting beat up?"
"Well, common sense. Blake didn't even see me escaping with you. He'll never find out."
"How do you know?!"
"Just trust me."
"How are you not worried?!"
"Blake doesn't scare me," I toughly shrugged.
"Yeah, well that's only you."
"Don't worry. Now drive."
He slowly made his way down the street and dropped me off at home. I got out of the car, but placed my head on my crossed arms that were resting on the bottom of the unrolled window of the passenger seat, looking in at him.
"Hey, let's go somewhere later, unless you finally found a guy," I said.
For some reason, it took him a while to understand what I just said.
"I actually have a family dinner thing. Sorry. Hey, you should get a driver's license. That way, you don't have to reply on me for transportation."
"Naw, I'm pretty sure that parents will get me a nice new bike for Christmas."
"Ok, but let's make a bet. I bet that they won't give you a motorcycle for Christmas. If you lose, then you have to get at least your learners' permit."
"I feel like I'll regret telling you this if I lose the bet, but I already have a learners' permit. I just never actually drove."
"Fine, then if you lose...you have to get your drivers' license. If I lose, then...I'll..."
He looked around trying to think of something.
Hm...do my homework? Naw, I'm already smarter than him. Be my personal chauffeur? Well, he already is either way.
"You'll have to get Jet to like me," I said. I know. Forcing someone into liking someone else won't lead to a good relationship, but who cares?
Ziven thought for a while before saying,"Deal." I spat on my hand, offering it to him.
"Gross," was his reply.
I shrugged and walk into my house.
"Bye," I heard him said before driving off. Oh he is so going down. If I know one thing about my parents, it's that they have so many connections that they never fail to get the best new products for half the price. And currently, the best new product is the 2014 Star Bolt. Or so in my eyes at least.
