When it first started
I thought that's just how it was
I didn't know any other way
Being ignored
Was just something I was used to
And I just accepted it
But I shouldn't have
I wish I would have left
Walked out the door
From your selfish ways
But I just stayed with you
It wasn't until someone
Said a word that I realized
When you acted like that
You meant it
You weren't joking
It was a game
And I was bound to lose
