Max POV

I kissed her hand gently, I needed to be as romantic as possible so I could ask her something VERY important later today, I know what you're thinking, to ask her to be my girlfriend, but I'd be to nervous to do that so I'm asking her on a date! That's my plan. First step of the plan is, kiss her for head, I Finished kissing her hand and kissed her forehead, she was probably confused why about why I was acting Lovey today but she will see later. Step two, watch a movie, "Shelby, do you want to watch a movie? Your pick! But no frozen!" I asked Shelby," sure max! I'm not doing much right now so I'm not busy!" She said in her cute squeaky voice. We sat down and browsed through Netflix, Shelby wanted to annoy me so she put on a romantic movie, I didn't mind because it set the mood for what I would ask her. It was a movie called "romance of love monsters inside" (weighers block!) it was a love story about a boy who was a monster who had trouble finding love in the big city, no one knew his flaw expect a girl named parcute, a business girl who only wants true love, it's very corny. Shelby rested her head on my shoulder so I kissed her forehead, then wrapped my arm around her neck. She looked so cute. I continued to watch the movie until it was over, Shelby fell asleep in my arms so I kissed her head, I carried Shelby bridle style, and took her to my room to sleep. I layed with her and wrapped my arm around her waist, she cuddled closer to me. I then drifted off to sleep.

Shelby POV

We were watching a corny love story on Netflix when I fell asleep. I woke up in a bed with Max's arms around me, he was awake but I have a feeling he wanted to cuddle more, or he didn't want to wake me up. I rolled over and kissed Max's nose. He smiled and talked to me, "hey! How was your nap shub?" "It was pretty good! So whatcha up to max?" "Oh nothing, just thinking about something for later." He sounded a little serious but still sarcastic at the same time. I wonder what he has planed? "So what are you doing later?" I asked him, "well I was thinking we could go to our spot later or something? But Shelby, it's been a while since we did this, but, do you want to go on a date with me?" Max said kind of goofily, "sure max! I would love to!" I was exited for this, I wonder what he has planed for tonight. "When?" I asked him, "around 9 pm." "Cool beans!" I said excitedly! I didn't know what we were doing but I didn't want to ask, we might just go to our spot or do something else. It was like seven fifteen so I had a quick shower. When I got out of the shower, I blow dried my hair and curled it. I choose to wear a cute black loose dress that was short. Only the top of the dress was tight separated with a belt to a loose bottom. For shoes, I didn't want to go to fancy so I wore black high tops with white bottoms and laces. I put on my normal makeup and just a little more highlight. I was ready at 8:58 so max would come soon.
Max POV

I had it all mapped out, we'd go to a beach when the sun is setting, then star gaze, and end the night at our spot, only this time I would ask her. Very romantic I know! Not... I'm not a romantic at all still, even after years... any ways it was time to go, I was wearing my fancy black t-shirt with black pants and shoes, my hair was slicked back on my head. I walked up to where Shelby got ready and knocked on the door, "hey max, are we going now?" She asked cutely, "yes!" I said blushing, she looked beautiful, I mean she looks beautiful every day but I mean, this is a special case, she was wearing a dress today! What?? She never wears dresses. I took her hand in mine and we went out to our first stop, I wanted to be a gentleman so I opened the car door for her, "I don't know if you know this max, but I can open doors my self." She said sarcastically, I chuckled a little bit at her words. We were off to our first destination, the beach, it was sundown so I timed this perfectly, I took her hand and e walked down the beach, we left our shoes and socks in my car for two things, one, I didn't want sand in my car, two, we wanted to feel the sand beneath our toes. It was a little cold out so Shelby stayed close to me, it worked out in my favour, next we went on the hill near the beach and star gazed, Shelby cuddled up to me. I kissed her forehead, last but not least, we went to our spot. Shelby took off her clothes leaving her in a dark pink two pice. I was wearing a red bathing suite. We got in and sat on our ledge. I pecked Shelby's neck, she blushed a little, I knew it was time, "Shelby I," I started but was cut off by Shelby, "shh, max don't, I want to ask you something, I've known you for a long time, about five years, we've kissed a lot but have never dated, I never wanted to date you because if we broke up it would be the worst thing ever, but now, not seeing you for years, I relived that we would make it work, if we broke up, we'd never stop being friends, max, please let me ask you this, will you be my boyfriend?" I was shocked, she beat me to asking her! Well this is a turn of events isn't it if, "well, Shelby, you know something, I'm slightly mad at you because I was just about to ask the same question to you, but, of coarse I will." Shelby's face lit up with happiness, she then kissed me. Later that night, I found a sharp rock and a tree, I wrote "M + S" in a heart. I thought it was cute, clearly Shelby thought so to because she said "aww!" I kissed her gently.
