Chapter Two
2 weeks later…
This week Sandra would be going to a christian day camp. Darren would also be going and she was excited about that. She knew that Morgan didn’t go to this camp so Sandra would have Darren to herself. She also knew she had to keep it cool she didn’t want any counselors or other campers noticing that Sandra was flirting with Darren. This camp lasted five days. Monday through Friday, and on Friday they had a party to celebrate the week of camp.
Monday: Sandra arrived to the camp with her lunch and book bag that they were required to have. Sandra went to put her lunch in the large bins where campers had to put their lunches. As she was walking over she past Darren and she thought to herself, “Wow, he looks good today!”
“Hello Darren,” Sandra said.
“Hey,” Darren replied. Darren followed Sandra over where Sandra put her lunch in the bin.
“So what’s up?” Sandra asked.
“Nothing, uhh, can I ask u something tonight when we text it’s important,” Darren said.
“Important?” Sandra questioned.
“Very,” Darren said looking very serious.
“Alright,” Sandra said and walked over to her best friend.
Karlie’s eyes lit up as soon as she saw Sandra walking over.
“He has to talk to me about something important,” Sandra said as soon as Karlie was in hearing distance.
“Oh maybe it’s something good,” Karlie said trying to optimistic.
“I doubt it,” Sandra said glumly.
That evening…
As soon as Sandra could grab her phone she clung onto it for dear life after camp. She knew Darren would be texting her soon. She was nervous what he wanted to ask her.
Darren: hey
Sandra: hey J
Darren okay let’s get 2 business
Sandra: ok…
Darren: r u positive u dont like me?
Sandra: well ive been meaning 2 tell u something like that
Darren: wat do u mean?
Sandra: ok ill just say it
Darren: say wat
Sandra didn’t know if she should really tell him or not.
Sandra: I do like u… I lied when u ask a couple wks ago. Im sry
Darren: y did u lie?
Sandra: u have a gf n I cant afford 2 lose u as a bff
Darren: y would u lose me?
