Erza POV
"Cana what do you think about this?" I showed her a small key chain that contain letters of Lucy's name.
"Come on Erza, We have been shopping for hours now! I'm sure Lucy likes everything you buy for her." Cana complained.
"But-but I want to buy her something special, something meaningful," She pouted at Cana.
"Ugh, fine!" She said as they went around the mall continuing to look for Lucy's gift.
-------
In the end, they found nothing suitable for Lucy's gift in the mall. Many things were pretty and nice for a gift but not something that is meaningful to Erza, at least. They were now still walking at the mall and decided that if Erza did not find a gift for Lucy while they were walking for another last round they would go home.
So while walking and searching she saw a glimpse of shiny jewelry out of her peripheral vision. It was silver in colour necklace but what it enthralled me was the shape of the necklace. It was a beautiful yet simple blue colour heart shaped while the side of heart shaped was a small koala bear hugging it. It reminded me of Lucy.
While Lucy may act like a matured and capable woman on the outside, she can be sometimes act like a affectionate child on the inside. She could handled things just like an adult that sometimes I wondered if I dated a kid or a matured woman but either way I loved her nonetheless.
"Erza?" Cana questioned, wondering why Erza had stopped.
"I'm gonna buy this!" Erza pointed to the jewelry that she was soon going to buy.
"Um, what?" Cana followed the direction of the index finger and noticed the simple jewelry that was displayed. Cana grinned.
"You finally found one, and we've been walking through this mall for who knows how many hours!" Cana yelled at her but was happy that her best friend had finally found a gift for her loved one.
Erza paid no mind at her yelling and went straight to the store. It was quite expensive to be honest, but she happily handed the required money to the cashier. The female cashier was being nice and offered her to wrap the jewelry that was now in a small black box without paying any money. Erza was grateful and thanked her.
No money was too much if she can make her girlfriend happy, she just hope that her lover liked it.
-----
It was already night time went she reached home. She quietly called out her girlfriend hoping that she was here. And she was right, her lover was in the kitchen making dinner for us.
"Hey, how was your day with Cana? I haven't seen her for so long, maybe you should take me out with her next time!" Lucy clapped her hand at her future plan with Cana.
"Maybe next time with her girlfriend too," I said giving her a gentle smile.
"Yeah that would be great too" Lucy agree with my plan.
I plan on giving her Christmas presents afterwards since we will be busy tomorrow and the day after that. We will be spending our time with my parents on Christmas Eve and hers on Christmas Day.
After dinner I told her to wait for me in the living room and she looked at me quizzically, I smiled and quickly went to the bedroom and grab the gift. I was nervous wondering if she will like the gift or not. My hands are sweaty and having butterflies in my stomach. I wondered if this will be like when I propose to her? I may not going to propose to her this year but definitely next year, so I hope for the best.
"L-Lucy I know you don't want any Christmas present but when I saw this it reminded me of you, cute yet stunning," I said. I took a breathe and look at her. Her faced was emotionless and I took it the wrong way, so I stared rambling.
"I'm sorry Lucy, I thought you like it since it reminded me of you but if you don't like I could take it back, maybe exchange into different i-" I was cut off when Lucy put her index finger on to my lips making me unable to ramble on.
She smiled. "I love it." Such a simple word yet it make my heart flutter like crazy. I was going to confirm but she spoked first.
"I knew you were going to buy me something so in return I bought you something, it may not be as beautiful as the gift you bought me but I hoed you like it" she said and she took out and gently handed it to me. I opened the box and notice that it was silver in colour and it has our initials plus a heart in the middle. I put on and it was shining around my wrist. I grinned.
"Do you like it?" She asked slowly.
"I love it! Now let me help you to put on your," I assist her on putting on the necklace.
"Beautiful" was the word that I unconsciously said. A blush crept on to her face, it was bright red and she muttered a quiet thanks. I grinned.
"I have another gift for you" she said after a moment of silence.
"Another?" I asked.
"This" she said while leaning towards me giving the softest, the most affectionate kiss ever. We only pulled out went we really need to breathe.
"Is this my second gift? Because I really loved it!" I said after catching up my breath. She laugh softly and shook her head.
"No, your gift is kissing under the mistletoe" she pointed the mistletoe over our head. I laugh at how she planned this. That's my girl, smart.
"Merry Christmas, Lucy" I said and again slowly lean towards her, wanting to kiss her. Our lips were nearly touching and she whispered.
"Merry Christmas too you too, Erza." I smiled and we kiss each other for the second time tonight.
