"Alright, numbers 1 through 15 on the board. If you don't finish, write it down or take a picture to do it for homework." Mr. Smith said

This math class was boring and Alexus wasn't at school today. I took a picture of all the problems just deciding to do it for homework. I put my headphones in and just listened to Kevin Gates.

"Nice of you to join us Charles, even though the day is almost over." Mr. Smith said

I looked up from my phone seeing Renzo walking in the class. He waved Mr. Smith off before taking a seat behind me. Interrupting my music, Alexus face timed me.

"Why aren't you at school ?" I asked once the call connected

"Cause I had to go to the doctor and they stupid ass gave me like two damn shots." She rolled her eyes

"Watch your damn mouth." A hand went flying across the screen

"Okay, it wasn't even that deep for you to hit me that hard."

"Than watch your damn mouth."

"Anyways Ashton." She put emphasis on anyways "What you doing after school ?"

"Nothing, homework than sleep."

"I might come over, depends on if this grinch wants me to leave the house."

"Alexus, you better stop." Her mother said in the background "I'll backhand yo ass again."

"It's not that deep though."

"Don't start your shit today." Her mother pointed her finger "Not to-fucking-day."

"Okay ma."

I was dying laughing how Alexus just had a mug on her face the whole time. The bell rung and I stood up out of my seat. Renzo was knocked out on the desk, so I tapped his shoulder.

"What ?"

"Schools over." I said before walking out of the classroom

I usually drive to school, but my car had to go in for an oil change. I leaned up against the brick wall waiting for my aunt to come pick me up.

Dallas never comes home after school, she always hangs out with Jael and her friends. Desmond stays after school to practice football.

Five minutes turned into ten and that turned into fifteen. I typed in my passcode unlocking my phone, going to our message thread.

I looked up seeing Renzo standing in front of me.

"I was waiting on my aunt, but she forgot to pick me up." I rolled my eyes thinking of her airhead ass

"I'll take you." He swung his keys around his pointer finger

I looked at him for a few seconds before walking with him to his car. His friend was standing there, leaning against the passenger side door.

"Get in the back." Renzo said as he opened the drivers door

"What ? Nigga I—"

"Get in the fucking back bruh."
