The Mystery Boy

Maria's P.O.V

"Hey Alex guess what?" I asked him all excited.

I was so happy that Tyler had agreed to plan Stella's birthday party with us. That idiot had developed a silly crush for Clara but was too dumb to get it right away. But what are friends for right? I'll help him with it.. Wow I'll get a chance to play the cupid.

"Umm lemme guess.. you are leaving this country? Wow when did I get so lucky?" he joked.

"In your dreams Alex, you are not getting rid of me that easily" I said slightly irritated.

He murmured stating something on the lines of never wanting me to leave him anyways but as I couldn't properly hear it I ignored it. I couldn't hold my excitement any longer so might as well tell him right?

"So the thing is, I invited Tyler to help us organise Stella's birthday party and guess what? He agreed" I squealed.

But Alex did not reciprocate the same excitement. What is wrong with this guy? Uhh boys I tell you. Instead he had a gloomy face and was thinking god knows what.

"Don't you think you are rushing a too much to make Tyler your best friend already? Or maybe he already is your best friend and I no longer mean anything to you, do I? I mean common you met him today and you already are including him in all our parties." he said with so much vemon that I was scared for a moment.

But instead of being scared I busted out laughing. Alex can never scare me, how much ever hard he tries. And also because for the first time Alex along with everyone else had forgotten something. Usually when it comes to matter of remembering things or dates or people we no longer have contact with, Alex was the best. It was like there was some kind of a computer fitted in that little brain of his. Not that I'll ever tell him that to boost his already huge ego but still.

"You don't recognize him, do you?" I asked smirking.

"Recognize who? What are you talking about?" he asked totally confused. Aww he looked so cute like that.

"You remember when we were young we used to go to the park daily and play there for hours together? And then one day suddenly while we were playing Stella dragged a boy and made him play with us? He was very quite all the time and also very shy but he only talked with Clara. They both would talk for hours and write I don't know what in the diaries they had. But one day he suddenly disappeared. None of us heard anything from him since then." I concluded.

"Yeah but why are you telling all this.. Wait a second. Do you mean to say that the boy was Tyler?" he asked shocked.

"Yup." I said smiling.

"But how do you know? And when did he come back? And where was he all these years?" he kept rambling.

Laughing I said " Talking once he mentioned that he was actually born in this city and also meet a group of friends back then just because a girl once dragged him to play with them as he was sitting alone. Also that he used to talk to just one girl and they both wrote their diaries. And he wonders where she might be right now."

"So he has no idea that the girl is Clara? And that we were that group?" he asked.

"Yeah and I plan on keeping it like that, so keep your mouth shut okay?" I ordered to which he merely nodded.

Clara's P.O.V

We all were seated in my kitchen thinking about various ideas to surprise Stella while my mom cooked delicious pancakes for us. What mattered was that Tyler was here sitting with us and helping. But why? He was not called was he? He can't just barge in my house like that but surprisingly everyone else was okay with it like it was the most normal thing to do.

Confused I glanced at Alex trying to ask him what the hell was happening. To which he just shrugged. Can you believe it? He just shrugged. Uhh.

Also he was smiling and wasn't bothered with Maria sitting next to Tyler. What? Why this sudden change? And why was I bothered?

"So.. We will have to keep her away from Clara's house the entire day while we decorate it." Said Ryan all excited.

"But how? She practically lives here and is here almost all the time." I pointed out which was so true.

"Umm how about we tell someone to kidnap her? Just for the time being?" Maria suggested to which we just have her a look.

It was something only she could say. Yess I do have crazy friends.

"How about you guys plan a treasure hunt for her in the entire city and while Ryan is with her all the time everyone else can help here decorate." Tyler suggested.

Uhh no he does not get to suggest what will we do for my best friend. Who is he anyway? Just because I let him sit here while we discuss does not mean he gets a say in it. When I was about to object Ryan interrupted me.

"Wow thats a great idea" he said

"I agree" "so do it" said everyone else of course except for me.
