Chapter 5

I'm sorry that it took so long! I've had family over for a while and then I went over to my aunties for even longer >.< I've been distracted with school and family for the moment. If you find that there's a part in the fighting scene that's a bit to rushed, its because my brilliant puppy (the one in my profile picture) stepped on my keyboard and deleted a whole portion of the fight >.<. Sadly I don't remember what part she deleted so I tried my best!

I moved quickly to close the door before they came, my feet silently ran toward another room that I easily slipped into just as the hunters left the other one. My heart raced for a moment as I heard their feet moving past the door, once they were a bit ahead I stepped out and pointed my palm at their back.

“Paello,” I spoke out and as if something invisible slammed into the hunters, pushing them forward harshly. They each looked behind them a second after falling onto the floor, their eyes full of hatred. The one closest was quick to stand up come forward with his fist swinging. I had already pretty much anticipated an attack so I dunked away from it before sending my leg into his side, throwing him to the floor again.

Another of the hunters ran straight for me but this time he tried to tackle me so I dunked and slide under his legs. Standing up I spun around and slammed my fist into the other man who had tried to sneak up on me. He fell to the ground so I turned around just to have one of the hunters kick me on my arm, it was definitely going to hurt later on.

One of the hunters caught me by surprise and before I could recover from the kick to my arm, he had a knife out and swiped at me; the knife managed to make a cut from my hip and across my stomach.

“That’s going to hurt later,” I grunted as my hand striked out, cart-wheeling between the two guys I pretty much bulldozed into the third man who had been waiting for an opportunity to get me. Pinning him to the floor I pounded my fists into his face as many times as I could before arms grabbed me and pulled me back.

One of the hunters quickly punched me in the gut before taking a knife out and swiping it out at me but in one quick movement I pushed my feet against the floor and forced both myself and the hunter holding me backwards. A gasp slipped out of my mouth as the knife cut against my stomach but when I was able to push away, it didn’t make any dangerous damage but it was painful and burned.

“Shit!” The sound of Jazmyne’s voice echoed through the earpiece, obviously I wasn’t the only one who had gotten into trouble.

“I’m guessing everyone has a problem right now, right?” Vincent’s voice sounded into my ear as I slammed my head back, it collided with the man’s head behind me but I didn’t stop there as I pulled my gun out. Pointing it at the hunter with the knife, I shot two rounds into his chest before pulling my arm back and slamming it into his face. Spinning around I shot him right into his neck but pain stretched around my scalp as the last man grabbed my hair and yanked back.

“Ahh!” I screamed out in surprise seeing as how I didn’t really expect that since I always believed pulling hair was a bitch move but obviously I’m the only one with some sort of code. The hunter forced me to stand with a tight and painful yank that made my eyes miss focus for a moment.

“Who else is here?!” The man shouted into my head before smashing me against his chest, the cold metal of a knife pressed around my neck.

“Whatever happened to the rule no beating on a woman?!” My voice held sarcasm as I winced from his tight hold.

“Last chance witch! Who else?!” His tone was harsh and loud, as his breath was warm and sticky… gross! There was definitely a feeling of a headache coming on and it was a bit distracting to me seeing as how I never deal to well with pain even though I’ve been through even worse than this.
