Witches are probably one of the things humans try to imitate and soon believe they actually are magical but since I’ve been alive for about 1,453 years but that doesn’t mean I’m some all-seeing beautiful Goddess… okay, I’d actually really want to be a beautiful Goddess but I’ll draw the line to all-seeing. To other witches, like my mother and elder sister, I am probably still pretty much learning a few spells; I’m not saying that I’m stupid or anything but learning new things just wasn’t my style, I’m more of an ass-kicking type of person.
“Salem, are you drinking during lunch?” I could feel the critical tone in my sister Evangeline’s voice, without even lifting a finger I did manage to get a good eye roll at her but the comfort of the couch was soothing and helped me stay up while I continued to drink the bitter but very beautiful bottle of Whiskey; I could easily hear that thick accent she’s had all her life, it was Latin.
“Are you telling me that I can’t drink? I’m 1,453 years old so I think I passed the legal age to drink,” My voice carried an accent as well which was clear and a bit thick, pushing a piece of blonde hair behind my ear I looked over at her with a sloppy grin on my face; a bit of annoyance seemed to take onto her face as she watched me angrily.
“Why in the world are you even still here?” Evangeline asked me with narrowed eyes, it was obvious by how she spoke to me that she didn’t enjoy my company and it’s been like that for about 300 year and even though I’ll always miss the times we use to be like best friends… I’m not time traveler but there was no way I was ever going to put up with her attitudes.
“Because it would seem I’m on life arrest,” A sigh escaped my lips as I lifted my arm up to show the intricate black tattoo that was in the shape of a Pentacle but around the circle that encased the star, there lay tiny red dots that moved slowly around the circle non-stop; it was very powerful binding curse that forced me to stay in town and participate in the coven I want nothing to do with and if I had a choice I would burn them all to the grown but because the curse was far too strong for me I’ve been here for over 256 years.
“What a pity,” Evangeline muttered to herself just as our younger sister Savannah walked downstairs in her pajamas but just because she wasn’t dressed for the day didn’t mean you couldn’t see the curves on her. Her hazel-green eyes weren’t like the blue pale blue eyes that Evangeline and I had inherited from our mother, Savannah got her eye color from our father but the three of us got our mother’s blonde hair and not our father’s brown hair.
“Evangeline,” The words came from Savannah’s mouth with a bit of wariness in them, Savannah and Evangeline didn’t get along because Savannah always stood by side loyally.
“Well, it seems the three popular Blackwood sisters’ are all awake now… it’s time to take my leave; I just came to tell you that we have 4 new guys in town, mother allowed them threw the shield,” Eva grumbled as her icy blue eyes looked at Savy with a bit of annoyance on her face, Evangeline’s long blonde hair lay curled a bit past her shoulders as she put a hand on her curvy hip.
“By mentioning the shield around town I’m guessing you’re saying they aren’t human?” My eyebrow raised at her words as I pushed a piece of my own long blonde hair that went past my shoulders away, my blue eyes were a bit paler then Evangeline’s and a bit icy but my eyes were never as cold as Eva’s eyes.
“Aren’t you a smart-ass?” Eva rolled her eyes at me before picking up her purse and making her way out the house through the front door, curiosity filled my body but I had to shoo that feeling away because… well, I’m just too lazy to go investigate our new ‘friends’.
Savannah’s eyes stayed on the front door for a while after Eva had left before she took a seat beside me on the couch and said nothing about the bottle of alcohol in my hands, she could careless seeing as how my body wouldn’t be affected from getting drunk.
