As I made my way to the Great Hall, those feelings were haunting me again, making my head throb. Suddenly, it was as though as if my legs gave way and my mind felt like it was spinning and spinning, going in wild circles. For a moment I thought I was going to black out.
Just as I was about to topple like a pack of cards, an arm caught me in time. I stumbled to stand again. As I regained my equilibrium, my gaze shifted to Desmond, my friend.
"Woah gurl, you okay?"
"Yeah I'm fine, probably too stressed out."
I lied. I didn't know why that happened to me. Maybe I was diagnosed with a strange disease.
"I'll walk to the Great Hall with you."
"Um...Sure."
Desmond had a crush on me ever since we sat together during Mathematics class. But all I treated him was as a close friend, because he wasn't really my type. He was a nerd and could get annoying at times. He confessed to me once, but I rejected him, and he still continued to bug me like it never happened. Pretty annoying right? I was glad that he held onto to me before I fell though.
As we reached the Great Hall, the feelings in my head were crazier than ever. My head was spinning as though as if it would BURST! In order to not make anyone worry, I tried to calm myself down and keep a straight face.
"You okay...?"
"Yeah I'm good."
I forced a smile on my countenance.
Why? What was going on? What was happening to me?
Everyone queued up for their result slip, and I was glad that Desmond left me to look for his friends. The last thing I needed was for someone to accompany me and find out that I'm diagnosed with a weird disease. While waiting, I coerced myself to concentrate in order to not black out. When I reach home, I seriously had to take a nap.
Come on Jewel!!! Persevere! It's almost your turn!!!
I managed to bare with all those craziness and take my result slip. While doing so, the teacher handing me my result slip seemed hesitant to get it to me.
"What's wrong?"
"Jewel darling... I know you have worked hard... I could see you trying...Stay happy and hopeful okay?"
I raised an eyebrow. What the heck was she saying?! I grabbed my result slip and ran to a corner. I heaved a sigh of relief that I managed to hide my pain. I closed my eyes, trying to calm myself down before taking a look at my results. Gazing at the darkness infront of me, I suddenly envisioned a blur image of a paper with words. What was that? It just came out all of a sudden! Curiousity wrapped its arms around me. I just had to focus! Focus!!!
Focus!!!
Focus!!!
I gasped in fear. I saw... My result slip?!
