My eyes slowly fluttered open. Bright lights were streaming in through the window. I sat upright, realising that I had slept on the bed. Jackson was lying on the couch, still sleeping. Memories of last night flooded into my mind, growing clearer and clearer. My heart skipped a beat and a shy smile formed on my face. Striding towards him, I gazed at him. To be honest, he looked so hot with those abs and the way he slept was really adorable that I could stare at him forever! Wait, what was I thinking?! Seriously?! Why was I adoring a retard?! Ewwww!!! Rolling my eyes, I shuddered in disgust and went to change.
Stepping out of the restroom, Jackson was still asleep. I strode towards him again, and gently covered the rest of his body with a blanket. Don't get me wrong, I was just repaying him for letting me sleep on the bed last night.
Just as I was about to leave the dorm, an ancient brown book on the desk caught my attention. Curiousity fizzled in me. Fingering the old book, my eager hand flipped through the pages. Jackson's name caught my eye. I guessed that was his diary. Even guys like him write a diary? Weird.
"When I first saw her, she attracted my heart, so much that I wanted to protect her for life. I felt guilty pranking her though, but I have to admit, she's cute. I hope she's my roommate...Her name is-"
"What are you doing?!"
Shocked, I closed the diary and put it back on the desk in a flash. Dang it! I was sooooo close to reading the name!!! Even worse, I was caught red handed! I knew I was screwed. So screwed.
"I swear I didn't read all of it. I'm... Sorry..."
Jackson shot me a glare and kept his diary away. I couldn't help but laugh hysterically.
"So... Someone has a crushhhhh."
I smirked.
"Good luck winning her heart. Lolll!"
Jackson looked at me in eye. Determination and lust were evident in them.
"I don't need luck. I'll make sure I win her heart."
"Psh. If you say so. See ya!"
With that, I left the dorm for breakfast.
* A few minutes later *
Sitting down with a cup of cappuccino and a plate of french toast, I devoured the food in delight. At that moment, three girls sat around me. Each of them had a symbol engraved on the side of their necks.
My hand reached for my neck. All I could feel was my skin. I didn't have a mirror with me. I guessed I had to look at it after breakfast. The three girls smiled and spoke with ebullience.
"Hiii!!! We have heard about you!! I'm Nova! I come from a shooting star!"
"And it is I, Eldora, from the fiery sun."
"OHHH AND ME!!! I'M HARPER! I'M FROM MARSSS!"
I giggled upon hearing how lively they sounded.
"It's great meeting you guys! I'm Jewel! I come from Earth."
"Ooooooo so you are an Earthling! It's so rare to see Earthlings around here!"
"Earthlings are cool! We should hangout!"
I felt glad to have met them. At least I would not become a loner.
"Sure! May I know where I can learn more about the school? You know...New comer problems."
"Oh it's fineeee! Everyone was once a beginner! Just go to the library at the highest level. It's biggggg."
That morning with those girls felt so good. I finally had some great company, unlike Jackson, a pain in the neck.
