The knock on the door startled George out of his daydream. He set the records he was flipping through down and ran to the door. He could hear voices from behind it.
"Are you sure we aren't too early?" one voice said.
"Of course we're not, Roger! Ringo's a very dear friend of mine and he's sure to let us in!" a second voice said.
"I dunno, Moonie... I still think it's rude..." the first voice muttered.
"It's alright, Rog! Come in!" George said as he opened the door. "You just have help us finish setting up."
"Georgie! Hello!" Roger said as he hugged the Beatle.
"Ringo, dear boy! We're here!" Keith shouted.
"The Who is here!" Ringo's voice echoed from a distant room. Three pairs of thundering feet charged into the room. The other three Beatles enveloped the Who in a hug.
The two bands broke the embrace and set about decorating, cooking, setting table, cleaning, preparing everything for the big feast.
While deciding between a Simon & Garfunkel record or a Paul Revere and the Raiders record, George and Pete both jumped when the phone rang. Pete got to it first but quickly handed it to George.
It was Tom.
"Oh, hello, Tom!" George said.
"Hello, Georgie. I'm gonna be a touch late tonight, just a heads up!" Tom replied.
"Oh, alright. We'll save you a plate, I guess," George muttered. "I'll see you later."
"Yes! I'll see you later! G'bye!" Tom said as he hung up the phone.
"He's not coming?" Pete asked George.
"He'll be late."
"Oh. I see. Anyways, I say we play..."
The two guitarists went back to their discussion about which record to play.
Meanwhile, in the kitchen, the bass players hurried rushed to finish a special batch of Christmas cookies. Paul was grabbing multiple containers of sprinkles and frosting while John was cutting out the cookies.
"These'll be the best Christmas cookies anyone has every had!" the Ox crowed happily as he cut out another cookie. A loud BANG! followed by several swears erupted from behind him.
"You scared the shit out of me, Mick!" Paul chuckled, finally recovering himself.
"Didn't mean to, Paulie. We just thought we'd slip in the back way and surprise everyone!" Mick replied sheepishly. "Obviously we did."
"This cookie'll be yours now, Mick," John said as he held up the lopsided cookie that used to be a microphone.
"That's quite lovely, John..." Mick muttered, slightly surprised to see the bassist of the Who in the kitchen.
"Well, well, well! If it isn't the Stones!" Ringo said as he walked.
"Well, well, well, if it isn't Ringo Starr and Keith Moon!" Keith (Richards) laughed.
"Any of you boys willing to help Ringo and me, uh... Redecorate?" Moonie asked slyly. Instantly, Brian was leaving the room with the two drummers, Charlie and Bill.
"Don't ruin Georgie's decorations!" Paul shouted after the mischief makers.
"No promises!" came the collective reply.
"We can help in here!" Mick offered.
"Gear. Get the cookies in and out of the oven, if you would!" Paul said as he started directing the cookie making once more.
