Melody p.o.v. ( warning! If you are squeamish I will tell you when to read!)

I woke up the next morning in the infirmary with little Jack in my arms. He was snoring peacefully. I could not see his face, only the back of his head. His shaggy light brown hair was messy and dirty from years of being on the island.

I played with his hair as he slept, but I noticed something odd. I could not feel him breathing, and he was extremely cold. Slowly and carefully I readjusted him an myself so that I could see his face.

I wish I hadn't.

His eyes were gouged out of there sockets, parts of the skin on his four head and cheek were ripped off and left four fingered claw marks running down all the way to his jaw. Blood and brain slowly running down his face from his eyes. Sand decorated his hair, skin, and clothes. One of the worst things was that his mouth was full of seaweed and shells, his throat rounded from everything stuffed inside of it. He was dripping wet.

I moved him so that he was on his knees in front of me. The most horrifying thing was that in his chest was a bloody hook that scratched from his caller bone to the bottom of his rib cage, cutting so deep you could see the sea trash inside. Pouring out like lava.

"Is something wrong Melody?" He asked, it was barely audible and rough. "Why are you looking at me like that? It's making me sad." When he spoke it sent spears into my chest, I was so horrified at what I had just witnessed. It didn't stop there sea water spilled from his eyes. I just held his shoulders while I heard loud echoing laughter. I turn my head to the doorway to see Pan laughing and holding up a head, like Jack's its eyes were gouged out and cheeks scratched and peeling. The neck was dripping blood, it still had a bit of the spine still attached. It was so disfigured I couldn't recognize who it was until I saw the small hoop earring in the left ear.

The rating I gave him when I was seven. My dad.

"Haha, mermaids. Nasty creatures aren't they?" He continued to laugh. I stood up angry, pulling knives from my boots I sprang at him yelling:"You murderer!" Before I could get to him I woke up.

(It's over)

When I woke up I was still in the infirmary, but Jack wasn't,t there. Hot tears ran down my face. Standing up I unsheathed my sword from its scabbard. "I'm gonna kill him. I'm gonna kill him." I repeated in my head walking out, and looking around I saw no one. It was still night time and I heard voices, an saw torches running away from the camp and towards the beach.

I tried to catch up to them, but they were too fast for me. At least I know where they were going.

I just ran, not caring if branches scratched my skin or if my feet stung from running while my feet were still half asleep. I needed to get to them, before...

All the lost boys were gathered around a large cliff and into mermaid infested water, Felix was holding Jack's arms close to the edge of the cliff. Pan wasn't far behind them, in front of the rest of the lost boys. Some were carrying torches and raising them high so they could see the scene unfolding. The sun was just barely rising. Behind a mountain of trees and wildlife.

"Let him go!" I yelled, then all the lost boys including Pan looked in my direction. Pan looked amused, while there was mixed feelings in the rest of the crowed, fear, anger, respect, etc. that wasn't my focus at the moment, the only thing I cared about was my little Jack scared nearly to death while almost dangling off the side of a cliff.

"Ah you finally woke up. And it looked like you took quite a tumble getting here." Pan pointed at my right side. My white shirt was torn to show a giant gash and colors mixed with purple and red." Should be more careful love, some plants are deadly." He laughed." As for the boy I don't think I want to." Pan said slyly, while turning his head to Jack. His tear stained face stung me.

"Let him go." I repeated." No! He failed, now he must pay the price!" He yelled back. Felix then shoved hack off the cliff. I screamed and ran as fast as I could and thankfully caught his arm on time. I pulled him up and hugged him tightly.

"Throw them in the cave!" Pan yelled, and that's exact ally what they did.

In what felt like seconds they had grabbed us and threw us in a cave in a cave that was sealed with magic to keep us in, what comes in can't go out. The worst part about it is that at high tide the cave fills up to the top allowing mermaids into the cave and other deadly animals.

I felt like all hope was lost. At least i still had Jack with me and alive. Suddenly I feel a sharp pain in my right side. And then I remembered I brushed up against a black thorny bush. lifting up my shirt, I revealed a small gash in my side, with black veins spreading from it.

It was obvious that it was magic. My dad told me about a magical poisonous plant that could kill you in the most painful way.

i had lost all hope. jack sat at my side i prepared for death, but then i felt a small poking in my opposite side.

I slowly moved my arm to find a small box the one my dad gave me.

"Don't open until you get to shore." His voice ran in my ears as I looked over the small cube. I unwrapped the thin bow tied around the small object and lifted the top off. Inside was small but it could do big things.

Inside was a magic bean.
