Grayson stepped into his closet to find things to pack. It was a small closet, you could only take a few steps into it. Grayson ducked under some clothes, and began digging for his old sleeping bag and a flash light. Suddenly, while he was almost to his bag, the door to the closet suddenly slammed shut. "What the," he shouted. He grabbed his bag in complete darkness, and opened the door very, very, slowly. Outside was.. nothing suspicious, except an old doll on the floor. He sighed of relief. "Thank god I don't have any siblings," he said to himself. He packed up; A sleeping bag, a flashlight, some hiking shoes, and some extra clothes. "That should do it!" he exclaimed. Out of nowhere, his mom burst into his room. "What are you doing?" she asked. Grayson said nothing in shock for a moment, and then racked his brain for a good lie. "U-um," he stuttered. His mother awaited for an answer. "W-well, I can't find the words for it, maybe Lucy can!" he finally got out. Grayson's mother gave him a stern, motherly look. "Fine." she said after a second of deciding. She grabbed his phone and she tapped the chat in the hat.
=== ActionPacked and SunlitScowl began chating ===
ActionPacked: What are you planning with me?
SunlitScowl: Hey! You're not Grayson!
ActionPacked: No
"Mom! You can't pretend to be me!" he shouted.
ActionPacked: What are we planning
SunlitScowl: Who are you?
ActionPacked: Fine. How do you know this isn't my son speaking?
SunlitScowl: Woah, I'm glad I didn't say anything bad to you.
ActionPacked: What do you mean, "bad"?
SunlitScowl: You DID try to be Grayson.
SunlitScowl: Also, I just knew you weren't him.
ActionPacked: So, what are you two planning?
SunlitScowl: We're saving a magical monster society by jumping into a ravine and defeating the Mary Sue queen.
ActionPacked: .. Is this a joke?
Grayson whispered, "She's telling the truth." His mother looked very confused.
SunlitScowl: Nope. And we're doing it whether you want to or not.
ActionPacked: I don't know how to respond to that.
ActionPacked: Are you running away?
SunlitScowl: No.
ActionPacked: Tell me the truth!!
SunlitScowl: That is the truth.
=== ActionPacked stopped hating with SunlitScowl out of mixed emotions ===
Hat-ing is the correct pronunciation, mind you.
Grayson's mother turned to him very, very, slowly. Didn't I already spam very in this chapter? "Are you trying to.. you know.. with Lucy?" she calmly asked, but wavered on some words. However, she wasn't feeling very calm, for she was feeling absolutely terrified. Actually, both of them weren't feeling very calm. "No!" Grayson objected. "We are trying to save.. err.. creatures! Just because their entrance is in a waterfall, doesn't mean we are gonna die." He stuttered. "Hmm, maybe saving them we might.." He thought. His mother paused. "Well, I don't know what's gotten into you. What's up?" she asked. She had a hint of curiosity. He told her the same things that Lucy did in chapter 1. It's good to look back. His mother sighed. Than she did an unexpected thing- she laughed. He started to laugh too of how elaborate this all sounded, but it was true. And she also left, which was also unexpected. Grayson just assumed she gave up. Maybe she did, I wouldn't know. Well, of course I know. Grayson heard the jingling of keys, and a slam of a door. He wondered where she was going. He hoped that she wouldn't be back for awhile.
