Lucy grabbed a bag, and started to collect various objects in her room. She peeked outside her door, and didn't see her sister. She slowly closed the door, and crept around the house. When she packed all the things she needed, still creeping around silently like a rabbit, she grabbed her bag and bolted out the door. Well, she would have, if it wasn't closed. "Dang, it's still locked," She thought. Well, this was no problem, as there was a gate in her backyard. "That was underwhelming," She said to herself. She didn't know that her sister was looking out the window at the exact moment she was leaving the house. With her bag on her shoulder, she dashed to Grayson's house, Where a car was pulling out of the driveway. "Oh no," She thought, "Is he leaving for.. whatever already?" When the car passed by, she couldn't see the people in it. She hoped it was only his mother leaving, and knocked on the door. The door creaked open, and Grayson stepped out. "Ready?" He asked. "We're leaving now?" She said. "Yeah, look at the sky." Lucy looked, up, and it was a pretty sunset. It reminded them both of watercolor paintings. "Well, let's get your bike!" She enthusiastically said. They went in his garage, and it was a maze of boxes. "Um, where did I put it..?" He pondered. "Oh come on! We are supposed to be there by night!" She snapped. "Just kidding. It's right here." He said with a giggle. They both hopped on, and it was.. not very enjoyable. "Recap," Yelled Grayson, voice loosing volume in the windy sundown, "We're gonna hop in a crack in the earth, and kick some neon colored, uh, whatever you call 'em out of the other creature's territory. I think that's how it goes." "Sounds right," Commented Lucy. The ride seemed like it went on forever. I say this because there was nothing interesting going on during the ride. Finally, when they got to the park, the gates were closed. It had gotten dark. The kids got their flashlights out. "Well, too late to got back now." Grayson shakily said. "My mom is gonna kill me." Lucy gulped, "My dad is going to beat me." Gladly, there was a convenient short fence surrounding the park, and they leaped over it. "Shh!" Shushed Lucy. They crept around the park for a few minutes, Shining their light around the ghostly shadows. "It's cold, but I'm still sweating," Commented Grayson. Lucy put her pointer finger to her mouth. "Look, over there!" whispered Lucy, after a little while longer of searching. It was definitely night time. "I hope they don't mind us being late," Chuckled Grayson. "Hey!" Shouted an unknown voice. The two kids screamed, and whipped around to find a guard staring at them. "What are you doing?" Asked the guard. There really was some confusion in his voice. "Well, y-y'see.." mumbled Grayson. "We're gonna fight a buncha monsters!" Shouted Lucy. "Well, you better fight them outta this park then!" Growled the guard. Grayson yanked Lucy right to the fence, and yelled, "Whoops!" He pushed her over the fence, and Lucy rolled precariously close to the edge. She yelped, and stood there for a second to see of Grayson was going to get out his situation. The guard pulled him by his shirt and barked, "Not you too!" He struggled to get the guard to let go. "Hey!" Shouted Lucy, and the guard whipped around to see her fall off the edge, screaming. The guard let go of Grayson's shirt, and he stood there frozen to see him jump off the ravine, too. The guard took off his hat and put it to his heart.
