"It's time to begin, isn't it?"

-Anakin-

I had been training nonstop. The strenuous amount of physical activity alone left me tired and weary, constantly. The only reason I was training was to make Arkeah think I was better than she had suspected. I wasn't scared by her, but I wanted her to believe I was capable of doing great things. Her opinion mattered to me, like I had said before.

I paced back and forth infant of Arkeahs office, contemplating wether or not to go in. I didn't know why I was nervous, or why I even wanted to go in there. Last time I spoke to her, she yelled at me for mentioning the love of my life. I was extremely mad at her for talking about Padme like she was something you could get off the shelf, but I understood. Kinda. I couldn't quite make a connection to why she didn't like the mention of Padme, at least not yet. I wanted to know why, but I wasn't about to go ion there blind asking questions I didn't really have a right to know the answer too.

I had made my decision, I was going to get Arkeah a higher ranking position, so that she would inevitably trust me, and tell me about her whole ordeal with Padme's name and life. It wasn't a nice plan, I get it. But I had to do what I had to do.

I marched to Palpatines quarters, and knocked on the large, metal door. It creaked open, the smell inside the room smothering me with each step I took closer to where he was standing. He was standing infront of a large hologram of some creature, with a large scar in-between its eyes, and one on its jawbone. I was hesitant to speak, but soon he turned around.

"Ah, Anakin. How may I help you ?"

"Chancellor, I would like to request a position change for someone, sir."

"Who, Anakin?"

"Lady Arkeah, sir. She is an exceptional leader, and I think she deserves a higher ranking than the one she has, sir."

"We will see Anakin. we will see. Depart from this place, boy. I have work to do."

"Yes, sir."

I said, leaving his large office type room, and entering back into the hallways, finally able to breathe clean air again.

Later on that evening, I was requested to meet Lady Arkeah in her office, same one as last time. I was a bit nervous, since I had just been talking to Palpatine earlier that day. I pushed open the door, and walked to the chrome table. I sat in the same chair as last time, waiting on Arkeah to enter the room. I suddenly felt myself growing increasingly nervous as time went on, and she didn't show. I continued to wait, fearing she might just be late. About twenty minutes after we were supposed to meet, Lady Arkeah entered the room. She looked stunning, or at least what I could see of her looked stunning. She sat in the chair directly infant of mine, and removed her hood.

"Hello, Anakin. Im sorry that o was a bit late, but I know it wasn't a terrible inconvenience, since I know you have nothing else to do."

"Lady Arkeah, how do you know I had nothing to do?"

"Because, I know my apprentice's schedule, of course."

What? Her apprentice? No way, that was going to be so much pressure on me, on my skills that i hadn't fully matured, no matter how good I thought I was. Suddenly, I realized she was staring at me, and I quickly fixed my outrageous expression.

"I'm sorry, your apprentice?"

"Yes, Anakin. I think highly of you, no matter how much I yell at you."

"Thank you, Lady Arkeah. I won't let you down. I promise."

"I know you won't Anakin. Now go be with your few friends you have, I know about them too."

I nodded at her, and scooted my chair backward, causing that god awful noise of the chair scratching against the floor. I quickly picked my chair up and moved it back in, and left the room, with a sort of hope for the next few weeks.
