KATNISS'S POV

Im still in awh when peeta pipes up "can I see yours?"

"UMMMM nope"

"what why?" he asks while raising an eyebrow.

"Because you will laugh" I giggle and poke him in the side.

"I won't" he laughs.

"cross your heart?"

"cross my heart" he says and draws an X over his heart.

I sigh and slowly hand it to him, trying to contain my own laughter.

He looks down at it and a huge smile spreads over his face, I can see he is trying not to laugh. I look at it and start laughing myself.

He sees me laughing and begins laughing hard. He clutches his stomach belly laughing.

"I love bread?" he says between laughs.

"yes" I say and snatch the picture back. We both laugh when Mr. China tells us to hand in our drawings. Peeta and I walk up and hand them in as the bell rings.

The rest of the day goes by quickly. "I will meet you here in five, I just have to grab my bag" peeta says with a smile and jogs off. I quickly get my purse that I use as my school bag. There's no homework, so I simply grab my water bottle and wait for peeta.

He comes walking around, his face changing into a smile when he sees me.

I chuckle and smile back.

"what do you want to do?" I ask

"I have some things planned" he smiles with a wink.

I chuckle. "come on" he laughs and grabs my hand. I feel a spark where our hands lock together. we laugh and run off to his car. "I need to stop by the bakery" he says as we drive off.

"ok. wait, you work at a bakery?" I say surprised.

"no, well ya, but my family owns it. Its called The Mellarks"

"OH prim loves to go there and look at the cookies in the window display" I smile.

we pull in and Peeta runs around to open my door for me. I chuckle "You know I can open my own door" I joke and poke him in the side. He starts laughing and we walk inside. "ohmygod it smells amazing in here" I gush. I haven't had anything sweet in years. Well, sometimes we put blueberries on our bread.

"want to help me make some cheese buns?"

I laugh "I think I would burn down the bakery if you let me help"

he chuckles "come on"

we walk to the back "hello peeta" a man smiles

"hey dad" peeta replys with a smile. "This is katniss"

"ok well im going out, I have to deliver some things to town. Your mother is out and Jake should be upstairs, rye is out with Kelly. Have fun kids!" he smiles with a wave as he walks out. "ok bye dad"

Peeta starts making the bread for the buns. I pull out a stool and watch him kneed the dough. I stare at his muscles work the dough. whoa he has amazing muscles.

This is a first. I may....or may not.... have a crush on Peeta. I mean, who wouldn't fall for his perfect blue eyes and blonde curls? WAIT WHAT NO I DONT HAVE A CRUSH ON PEETA STOP KATNISS

Peeta pulls my out of my thoughts "ok that should be good" he flashes a smile at me. He adds in the cheese, puts them on the baking sheet, and sprinkles more cheese over them. He puts them in the oven.

"want to ice some of the cupcakes I made earlier?"

"I can try" we laugh.

he scurrys out and comes back with a tray of red velvet cupcakes.

I grab one of the icing bags and try to draw a sun and a bird. I laugh at myself, the icing is just running all over the cake.

I glance over at Peetas. "Whoa Peeta you are ready good at this"

he chuckles "practice"

"or just born with skills" i say as he laughs.

"here, I will show you". he puts down his icing and walks over to me. He gently puts his soft sturdy hands over mine. I feel my face heat up.

"its simple.." he mumbles and starts moving our hands.

PEETAS POV

I feel a spark as I rest my hands on hers. God shes gorgeous. I still cant believe shes here. Im just thankful Moms out of the house. I move our hands and start to draw a flower. I start with the pedals, then the center. Im about to draw a small bumblebee when the timer goes off. Katniss watch's as I take them out and set them on the cooling rack. "want one?" I ask, placing two on a plate. She looks surprised.

"me?"

I chuckle "yeah. have you never had one?"

"nope"

"well dig in" I say with a smile. She reaches over and picks one up, taking a bite into it. "holy shit these are amazing" she says right before taking another bite.

I chuckle "glad you like them". I quickly grab a paper bag and fill it with cheese buns, cupcakes, and cookies.

Katniss eats it quickly. hm note to self; Katniss loves cheese buns.

"I should be getting home soon" she says and jumps off her stool. "ok" I'm a bit disappointed, but I grab my keys "I will give you a ride" i say as we get in the car.

The drive there is short. She lives on District 12 avenue. We get out and I walk her to the front door. Right before she's about to say bye, I pull out the bag thats full of the bakery treats. "here" I smile and hand her the bag. "are you serious? that you so much! Prim is going to go CRAZY!"

I laugh "see you tomorrow Katniss" I say with a wave.

KATNISS'S POV

I use my free hand to wave back. "Bye Peeta! I had fun!" I call before I walk inside.

I kick my boots off and flop onto the couch.
