They walked around the cute little shops in Germany and they were using Mary as their walking translator...eventually they learned thank you was "danke" and goodbye was " Auf Wiedersehen" Mary had to translate for dinner though

Mary: können Sie uns eine Platte mit Fleisch und Gemüse mit einem Krug Wasser bitte bringen? ( can you bring us a platter of meat and vegetables with a pitcher of water please?)

The waiter smiled

Waiter: Sicher etwas anderes?(sure anything else)

Mary: Nein, es ist okay. vielen Dank (no it's okay. Thank you very much)

He smiled and left...everyone was staring at Mary

Riker: did you live in Germany?

Mary giggled

Mary: no..I was really into German when I was in high school

Riker: I can tell...what did you ask for?

Mary: a platter of meat and vegetables with a pitcher of water

Riker: I don't know how to ask for that in French

Mary: you better brush up then

their food arrived and it was really good.

The waiter came back to take the check

Mary: Es war sehr gut, danke (it was very good, thank you)

Waiter: are you English?

Mary laughed

Mary: yes

Waiter: you are very fluent in German yes?

Mary: yes..thank you again for the meal

They all stood up

Waiter: kein Problem, genießen Sie die schöne Stadt (no problem, enjoy the beautiful city)

Mary thanked him and they all left

Mary: why are you guys being so quiet?

Riker: we don't know German

Mary: I could teach you something to say to your fans after the concert

Riker: OK how do you say "we love you German R5family... Thanks for coming"

Mary: wir lieben dich deutschen R5family Dank für das Kommen

Ratliff: wait Mary how do you say I want a potato again?
