OMG
AND NOW I HAVE TWO
You guys dont know yet, but I play the violin and am at a 3rd year level (even though I've been playing for 1 and 1/2 years but not like I'm bragging or anything.) So I've always wanted to play the violin, and in 7th grade I got a cheap, used violin and joined my schools new Orchestra! During the summer I took private lessons to catch up because my mom wanted me to sing in choir in 6th grade, so I was an experience year behind my 7th grade class. To tell you how hard I worked, my first day of lessons I was asigned twinkle twinkle little star, that night I practiced for 6 hours. Anyway, The first day of school came and we got a "review" practice sheet Samba la Bamba.  When I got home I ran to my dad; who is very musical, crying. I had no idea what a quarter note was, or a half rest, and what's that dot on the 3rd line? I didn't know how to read music, or even rosin my bow. I was putting the rosin on my strings at that time.
That same winter, I won a spot in the small ensemble acting as a solo in our  Orchistra concert.  Later in December I won a $500 scholarship to Blue Lake Music Camp. In March, our orchistra won all 1s at Spring Festival. By April I had reached 2nd chair, beside this 1st chair guy who has been playing for 6 years before our orchistra peogram. The next year I named my violin.  Evangeline.  I didn't think I was ready to name my violin until the end of my 7th year. Later into my next year, and my current 8th grade year, My friends and I  entered the Solo and Ensemble Festival. We got a 1, again the highest grade you can get.
and now I have an electric violin. By no means did I think I was ready. But now looking at all of the acomplishments I've write down, and having an offer from my church music choir and band to play with them...I guess I am ready. This Christmas morning I plugged it into my dad's old amp.
I'm ready.

Sorry I had to end dramatically😂 I guess the moral of the story is to belive in yourself? I really don't know why I told you all this, I just started typing and got caried away I guess... ANYWAY
I got an electric violin
