Let's Start Over [Punk 5SOS]

Ashton next to me.

Luke next to Sydnee.

Michael next to Tracy.

and Calum next to Tori.

There is something awkward about this. But then there is something about it that feels right. I'm not sure what though. I shouldn't be able to picture any of us with those boys. All of us look so out of place. But at the same time we all seem sort of happy.

I shake it off and begin to eat. We all eat in silence until the bell rings. We make our way back to our classes. Lunch went better than expected. I thought that we would all get in a screaming match but thankfully we didn't. After the bell rang for school we all walked with each other to where we were to be housed. I had found out Tracy would be on our floor so that was good. Every weekend we had sleepovers in someones room. Mainly mine, but sometimes in Sydnee's. Tori's was always cluttered with fabric from trying to come up with things for her class.

I walk into my room and hang up my jacket. Its warm but the school is always freezing. I then sit down on my bed and pull out my laptop, bringing up iTunes and I begin to look for some recipes of things I want to learn how to make this year. I end up emailing myself over twenty different recipes. It may not seem like a lot but we aren't allowed to move on in the class until we perfect the first food we are trying to make.

I hear a knocking at my door so I get out of bed and walk over to the door. I open it and sigh at who is standing on the other side.

"How did you find my room Irwin?" I ask, a bit annoyed that he interrupted my music.

"It doesn't matter. But the guys and I are putting on a gig tomorrow at a little venue downtown. Do you and the rest of the girls wanna go?" he asked.

I raise an eyebrow. "I don't see why we don't go. I'll ask if they all want to go but if they don't want to I'm not going to push it." I say. "Just hold four tickets and if we don't show five minutes before you go on you can sell them to the first four people in line."

Ashton smiled and nodded. "Sounds good. Hopefully I'll see you there gorgeous." he winks and walks off. I look down the hall and each of the boys is at the girls doors. I'm wondering why one of the other guys didn't ask. Ashton always seemed to drift towards me. I can kind of understand though. We are both the oldest in our group of friends. I close my door and look at the time. Its almost eleven. I'm surprisingly tired so I end up going to bed.

I wake up the next day and text the girls, seeing if they want to go grab coffee and shop since its Saturday. They all agree and we decide to meet at the Starbucks down the street from the housing complexes.

I meet up with Tracy and Tori. We are standing outside, waiting for Sydnee who seems to be missing. I sigh to myself and look over to see Ashton, Michael, and Calum. They walk over to us.

"Have you seen Luke?" Ashton asks.

I shake my head. "Have you seen Sydnee?" I ask and Ashton shakes his head.

We all look around when we see Luke and Sydnee walking next to each other. Neither of them seem to notice us because they are staring deeply into each others eyes.

All of us are in shock. I'm about ready to scream but Ashton does that instead.

"What the actual fuck Luke?!" Ashton yells and the couple looks over at us.

"Please please tell me this isn't what I think it is Sydnee." I practically beg.

Luke and Sydnee both just kind of hang their heads in shame. We've obviously caught them before they wanted to be.

I was absolutely furious. I stormed off. I heard footsteps behind me and thought it was Sydnee. But when I spun around it was Ashton.

"What do you want?" I asked a bit rudely.

"I'm just as angry as you are. Your best friend not telling you that he is dating someone that you can't stand." he sighed.

"Oh shut up Irwin. Everyone loves Sydnee. She's nice and caring. I can see why Luke wanted to date her." I glare.

Ashton was a bit shocked. "Are you jealous that Sydnee has Luke?"

"God no. I don't even think I could like Luke like that." I sigh and look at him.

"Are you jealous that she's happy?"

I remain silent. Ashton wraps his arms around me and pulls me close. I'm close to tears but I can't cry in front of him. He will just laugh and go run and tell his friends how much of a loser I am.

"What were your plans for the day?" he smiles.

"I was gonna go to Starbucks with the girls and then go shopping for a new outfit to wear for your gig tonight."

Ashton's face lit up. "You were gonna come?" he smiled.

I nod and laugh. "Yeah. I don't see why not." I smiled and we began to walk again.

We make our way into Forever 21 and Urban outfitters. I walk out with two new outfits along with accessories and Ashton walks out with new shirts and a few things for his room that I helped pick out.

We get back to the housing complexes.

"I'm gonna go put this stuff in my room and then I'll meet you at yours okay?" Ashton smiled.

I nod and we walk our separate ways.

I walk into my room and change into my new outfit. A pair of high waisted shorts and a floral top. I curl my hair so that it is loosely waved and put in my normal pair of "diamond" earrings with a necklace from my neighbor who had passed away earlier the past year. I hear a knock at my door and open it. Ashton's jaw drops as he looks me up and down. I laugh softly and we both make our way to the venue. I bit my lip when I saw the other girls. Ashton nods at me and I smile.

"Break a leg." I tell him and he chuckles.

I walk over to the girls and hug Sydnee. "I'm sorry about running off earlier. I guess I just wasn't very happy. But if you two are dating then I'm perfectly okay with that."

Sydnee smiles. "Thanks. That means a lot. Luke and I have been together for a few months. We bumped into each other over the summer and we hung out a few times and started dating. They aren't as bad as you think."

I nod and think about Ashton. "I know. But come on. Lets go inside." I smile.

The girls and I walk inside and look around the venue. Its a small place but not a ton of people are here. Its still a great turn out though.

I look over and Tori is no where to be found. I begin to look around and laugh when I see Tori walk back over to us with her brother.

"Guys, this is my brother Lance. Lance these are my three best friends. Tracy, Emmy, and Sydnee." we all wave and he smiles.

"Its nice to meet my sisters friends. But I gotta go. My buddies are about to go onstage." he smiled.

"Wait you mean?" Tracy starts.

"Hello everyone! My name is Calum. This is Luke, Michael, and Ashton. And we are Five Seconds of Summer!" he yells.

I laugh as a hear a few girls scream Calum's name. I look over at Tori who seems pissed to hear other girls scream his name. But when I look up at the boys, Calum can't help but stare at Tori.

Something very weird is going on. I'm not sure what it is. But I'm going to find out.
