Emmy's POV

I made my way out of my car and towards the small building where train tickets were being sold. Ashton decided to wait outside in the cold for me to come back with the tickets. I stood in the small building for a few minutes before buying to tickets for us to go to Chicago. I walked out of the small building after putting my wallet back into my cross body bag. I walked over to Ashton and handed him his ticket. He kissed my cheek and I began to blush like an idiot.

"You're adorable when you blush Emmy." Ashton whispers into my ear and I giggle softly.

About five minutes later the train arrives at the small station and we both board. we move up to the second floor and sit in a small spot meant for two people. We both face each other and the train begins to move. I know I have to ask him about Megan otherwise I'll never what was going on.

"We should ask each other questions while we sit on the train." I smile.

"Okay. I'm fine with that." he smiled and looked at me.

At first I just asked a few simple question. Where he grew up? What was his favourite childhood memory? What was his inspiration for being in music? Then I asked him about Megan.

"So..who is this Megan you brought to Calum's party?" I asked.

Ashton was quiet for a bit before he sighed. "I knew you were going to bring this up so I might as well just tell you now before someone else tells you. I sent Mikey to go check on you. Just to see if you were ready. He was supposed to come back within five minutes and when he didn't I figured something that happened. So I called my friends cousin and asked her to come with me to Calum's party. When I saw you two acting all couple-y it seriously pissed me off. I made a stupid mistake and none of that was supposed to happen. I'm sorry."

I bit my lip and nodded. "It's fine Ashton. I'm sorry too. I wish I could go back and just redo all of it." I admit.

Ashton shook his head. "I'm kind of glad that happened. I think it brought us closer." he smiled.

We had just gotten off of the train and I was bouncing with excitement. It had been forever since I had been to Chicago. Plus, I've never actually been to Chicago during the winter. It always looked so beautiful in the pictures I saw. I walked out of the station with Ashton and smiled softly. I pulled my black beanie down over my ears and looked over at Ashton. He smiled and kissed my forehead. Ashton had the whole thing planned out, I just didn't know what we were going to do.

"Are you ready for the best day of your life?" Ashton asked with a smirk.

"Of course I am Irwin!" I said happily.

He smiled and nodded. He began to walk and I followed his, my hand in his, our fingers laced together. We made our way into some mall thing and I followed Ash. Knowing him he had something up his sleeve.

"Here we are." he smiled.

"We are getting taco bell? For dinner?" I asked.

He laughed a bit and nodded. "I'm not made of money here Emmy."

I rolled my eyes and smiled softly. The amount of time Ashton and I had eaten at Taco Bell when we were together wasn't even funny. We always had it no matter what. I watched as Ashton ordered exactly what I always got. A crunchwrap supreme no tomato with extra nacho cheese, cinnabon bites, and a large Baja Blast freeze. He then ordered for himself and we sat down as we waited for our food.

"Its just..Taco Bell has always been our like..thing." Ash smiled.

I laughed softly and nodded. "I know Ash. I know." I watch as Ash walks over and grabs our food as the number was called. I sigh happily.

We eat in a nice silence that neither of us feel like we have to talk. After eating we make our way out of the mall and begin to walk towards Michigan Avenue. Ashton holds me close, like he is protecting  me from the big bad city.

We arrive on Michigan Avenue and everything is so lit up and gorgeous. I look over at the green eyed boy and blush a bit when I get lost in his eyes and realize he is staring right back at me.

"Did you hear what I said Emmy?" Ashton asks.

"Um..no." I blush deep red.

"I asked if you have ever been ice skating before." he smiled.

I smiled huge and looked at the boy. "I love ice skating. Let's go!"

Ashton laughs and we head over towards Millennium Park. We look like a couple blended in with everyone else. We are holding hands, laughing, and just have that genuine look of happiness. Too bad we aren't actually together. I look over at Ashton and realize something.

"Y-You took out your piercings." I run the pad of my thumb over his bottom lip where he used to have a ring through it. His eyebrow looks different without the bar of metal through it. He still has the nose ring though and I'm happy about that.

Ashton smiled softly and playfully bit my thumb. I giggled and pulled my thumb away. "I took them out because I was sick of people looking at us when we went out. People would look at me in disgust and then probably asked themselves why a beautiful girl like you would want to be with a guy like me. With piercings and tattoos everywhere." He frowned.

I looked at him and sighed. "I was too busy realizing how much I actually liked you to see how people would look at us. I don't care what other people think, well except for my parents. But if I like someone I'm not gonna leave them just because of the way other people look at you."

Ashton smiled softly and pressed his lips to my forehead. "Well let's ice skate, shall we?"

I nodded and walked with the golden haired boy towards the ice rink in the middle of the area we were in.

I had just finished putting my skates on when I looked over to see Ashton waddling towards me. I couldn't help but burst out into laughter.

"What?" he asked and laughed.

"It's not that hard to walk in skates Ashton." I laugh.

Ashton pouted cutely and helped me up. We make our way towards the ice rink thankfully I know that I can ice skate a bit thanks for gym class. I walked out onto the ice and take Ashton's hand. We skate for a bit until Ashton begins to lose his balance and grips onto me as we both fall.

"Are you okay?" he asks me.

"I should be asking you. You're the one who actually fell." I smiled.

"I'm fine. I just fell for you." he winked.

I blushed softly and stood up. After Ashton stood up he looked at his phone. It was getting pretty late and we didn't want to miss our train so we ended up leaving the ice rink and headed towards the train station.

"Today was amazing." I say softly.

"I was hoping you would say that." Ashton smiled. "So I have a gig in a few weeks back in New York. Are you gonna come?" he asked me.

"Yes. Of course I will." I smiled and kissed his cheek as we got onto the train and I cuddled up to him.
