Chapter 14

Ever since I surprised Luke in London we have been seeing each other constantly.

My internship has been going good. There are only two of us left, which is making me nervous.

We have a big project and that is going to be working at a fashion show. It's going to be crazy and it's already stressful.

We need to make sure everything is right and that nothing goes wrong. We have to fix a problem without anyone having to fix it.

But we have to fly to London. I've been trying to tell Luke but I don't know how.

Luke. It's like we are a couple but he doesn't see it that way or he doesn't want us that way.

We see each other constantly and the conversation about our relationship isn't brought up.

I mean I can understand why, between us going on little adventures or us doing more than making out we are too busy to bring it up.

I got home from planning the fashion show and my mom was in the kitchen.

"Hi honey. We are going to the Hemmings for dinner. If you want you can change. There are going to be other people there just to warn you." She explained.

"Ok. I will go change." Their gatherings can be dressy.

I went up to my room and put on a pair of jean shorts. I then put a red, loose tank top on with a black lace kimono over with my cream Birkenstocks. My hair was still wavy so I left it that way.

I packed a swimsuit and extra clothes just in case.

We start heading to their place and we are quiet.

"So, what are you planning for the fashion show?" My mom asked.

"No clue. I want something laid back yet sophisticated. Or something else. I have no clue." I said. The thought of the fashion show was making me overwhelmed.

"Do it like a multi-course meal. It could have a little bit of everything."

"That might work." I was left in my thoughts until we arrived.

Once we got there we were greeted by Liz.

"Come on in. Luke and his friends are in the game room Hazel." She explained. I went up to the game room to catch a glimpse of what they were doing.

They were all shouting and I was able to see what they were playing, FIFA. That wasn't something I was too interested in so I went to where the adults were.

I sat by my mom and listened to their conversation.

"Mom when is the-" Luke came out then stopped his sentence.

I looked over to see him.

"When is the what Luke?" Liz asked.

"Oh when is the food ready?"

"Soon hun we will let you boys know."

"Thanks." He headed back. Then my phone began to buzz.

"When we are done eating you will come with me." Of course it was Luke.

I just ignored him and talked with everyone.

"Hazel how is your internship going?" Liz asked.

"Good. I'm planning a fashion show and I will get to go to London for a week." I said. Everyone looked amazed.

"The boys were just there about a month ago. Maybe Luke can come with." Liz said excitedly. "You two have gotten so close. I think it would be good." Thoughts of us in England came flooding back and I had to try to hide my blushing face.
