Chapter Four

"Magpakasaya ka ngayon Zachary dahil nalalapit na ang pagbawi ko kay Selene." Mula sa likod ng puno hindi kalayuan sa mga bampira ay nagmamatyag ang isang lalaki, ang mga mata nito ay nakapako sa imahe ng babaeng may pula na halos itim na buhok at pilak na mga mata.

Napatago sya bigla nang tumingin ang babae sa kanyang direksyon bago sya nagpakawala ng mahinang tawa.

"Hindi ka pa rin nagbabago Selene, still sharp as ever." He said in the air bago sya naglago na parang bula.

Habang nagsasaya ang lahat, bigla na lang nakaramdam si Tatiana na parang may nagmamasid sa kanya kaya napatingin sya sa direksyon kung saan nanggagaling ang pakiramdam na iyon at hindi nakatakas sa kanyang paningin ang anino pero naputol ang kanyang pag iisip nang bumulong si Zach sa tapag ng kanyang tainga.

"Are you okay sweetheart?" There's a hint of concern in his voice.

"Uhm-mn." She hummed, "Just a little bit tired." She stated before shrieking when Zach suddenly picked her up without warning and that made the crowd chuckle—the men—and sighed fondly—obviously the women—at them.

"Zach!" Tatiana slapped his chest playfully.

"What? You said you're tired so we're going to retire much earlier than expected." He said nochalantly before walking towards the edge of the clearing but before they can apparate, a woman with whispy white hair and bluish-white eyes approached them.

"Congratulations your majesties," the peculiar woman bowed.

"May I?" She asked them to which Zach nodded and the lady placed her palm on the queen's abdomen, the crowd watched with bated breath in the background and not even a sound of heartbeat can be heard when suddenly the lady gasped.

"What is it oracle?" The king inquired.

"The firstborn will be a prince, a powerful one that would hold such great power that he would surpass his ancestors," the oracle announced and the crowd in the background cheered at the good naturedly glimpse of the future ahead of them but the king and queen remained stoic as they both can sense there's something more to it.

Zachary looked into the crowd and met his aunt Lucia's eyes before telling the oracle to follow them as he disapparate to his private sitting room with his wary wife and queen in his arms.

He landed in the room with ease and placed Tatiana on her feet then Lucia appeared in the room followed by the oracle.

"Let's sit?" Tatiana offered and they all sat, Zach and Tatiana in a loveseat and Lucia and the oracle on the long settee across them.

"What did you see oracle?" The king's tone had a deadly edge to it and Tatiana place a hand on her husband's arm to calm him and he did.

"I foresee a good future for the kingdom and a bad omen..." she trailed off.

At this Lucia looked worriedly at the her nephew who tightened his hold on Tatiana then glanced back at the oracle.

"Continue." He said through gritted teeth.

"The queen would give birth to a prince that would soon inherit the throne, the kingdom would prosper under his rule but the queen wouldn't be there to see it happen." The oracle said and hell break loose.

The king did not like hearing even a simple hint of his beloved's death. In seconds the oracle was up in the air as the king gripped her on the neck and instantly Tatiana and Lucia were on their feet to stop the enraged vampire king from killing the oracle.

"Zach please, put her down." Tatiana pleaded her husband, putting her hands on his face making him look directly on her silver orbs. She gasped when the golden orbs was now bleeding red, fangs bared and claws long and sharp, signs that his demon(1) was in charge of the body.

"Put her down Zyrone, please." She called to him using the demon's name but it didn't deterred him so using her pleading voice to subdue the demon is out of the window and that left her no choice. Tatiana kissed the red-eyed demon, giving him her very first kiss in eons of existing.

Zach was startled by the action that he had dropped the oracle from his grip and Lucia was immediately by the oracle's side, helping her to stand and set her back on the settee.

The demon was frozen for only a second before he grabbed her nape, devouring her sweet mouth while his other hand snaked to her waist pulling her closer to his body. Tatiana felt like she's melting at the contact and didn't even notice that her arms were already around her husband then she heard a foreign voice before realizing that the moans were coming from her but when she felt the king's hand were on the zipper of her dress, she pulled from the kiss, flushed and panting.

"Thank you." Zyrone whispered in her.

"For what?" She whispered back, looking at the red-eyed demon through her lashes. "For stopping you from killing the oracle?"

"Yes, I cannot lose you my beloved. You are my life," he kissed her on the forehead before his lips were pulled into a teasing smirk as he leaned beside her ear and whispered, "And also for the kiss."

Tatiana's blood rushed up to her face and when she looked up, she saw Lucia was looking at her teasingly while the oracle's smiling at them. She was horrified when she realized that they were watching when she and her husband practically made out.

She turned to Zyrone—who's still not giving Zach control—and saw him having a fit. Tatiana only rolled her eyes at the vampire and got back to her former sitting position on the loveseat couch but not without kicking his sheen and he doubled over.

"Let's get down to business." She said pissed, she do not enjoy being laughed at, it makes her blood boil. She's a temperamental person and everyone knows that so it wouldn't do to piss her off unless they wanted to roll and quiver in pain on the floor.

Zyrone then turned serious as well as the other occupants of the room. He sat himself beside his beloved once more and put a clawed hand by her waist.

"A-as I was saying, the queen wouldn't make it to the ascension of the prince." The oracle hung her head.

"Why?" Lucia asked in a small voice, throat constricting at the thought of her ward's death.

The oracle heaved a deep breath before continuing in grave tone, "The queen's health would deteriorate after giving birth to the prince and tho she was weak I saw that she will bear another child, a princess. The queen would die because of childbirth."
