The Silver-Eyed Queen (Under Construction)

Chapter Five

A tensed silence has fallen inside the room, no one even moved from their places. Lucia was in denial with tears brimming her eyes, the king was looking at the oracle like she had grown a second head while Tatiana was smiling oddly, like she knows something that none of them knew and the oracle was baffled by this, she had expected the worse reaction from her seeing that it is her future that she foresee.

Everyone was startled when the king stood up suddenly, his eyes were now back to it's original gold color before proclaiming, "Consider your premonition null and void oracle."

"And why is that, your highness?" The oracle asked perplexed.

"You dare question your king, oracle?" The king questioned in his menacing voice, eyes flickering from gold to blood red every split seconds.

"N-no, your highness," the oracle meekly stated as the other occupants in the room watched them warily.

"Do as I say oracle and remember that you are in no position to question my decisions." He said with finality before grabbing Tatiana and disapparating from the room.

When the two newly bonded couple was in the safe confines of their room, Zach held his queen to his chest, sniffing and planting kisses on top of her head.

"I can't lose you," the king murmured under his breath.

"H-huh? Anong ibig mong sabihin?" She tried to break free from his hold but the king wouldn't have that.

"Forget about children Tatiana, hindi ko kayang mawala ka." Zachary whispered in a soft voice, desperately clinging to his beloved.

"Alam kong alam mo na hindi maaari 'yang nais mo, may sinumpaan akong pangako kanina lang." She tried to appease him pero lalo lang humigpit ang pagkakayakap sa kanya ni Zach.

"At the cost of your life?" Zach growled at in her ear.

Tatiana sighed deeply before gently pried herself away from her husband's embrace before flashing him a smile.

"It will be worth it, my king." She whispered before kissing him on the lips which he returned and after a while he pulled from the kiss to allow her to breathe.

"I can't let you go, my queen. You are my life." He proclaimed to the still dazed queen.

Tatiana gave another deep sigh, shaking herself out from her dazed stupor due to the kiss before pushing the both of them onto the bed.

"Let's rest for now, my king. We'll talk about the future when we're fully rested and clear in the head." She said before laying her head on Zachary's chest, listening to the faint heartbeats that lulls her to sleep and she knew no more.

By morning none of them had the strength to utter a word about the oracle's words and the king purposely avoid mentioning anything or hinting about it and this cause Tatiana to be worried. She tried everything to initiate some intimacy between the two of them but she was always met by a warm embrace and a kiss on her forehead before Zachary would flee out of the room and burrying himself more on his duties.

Tatiana started to feel neglected by her own intended, wallowing in her self doubts whether the king doesn't love her anymore and/or started to regret that he had been tied to her for a lifetime. She felt helpless and hysteric at the same time.

It is the second month of their unconsumated marriage that she finally snapped when she saw a lady, a vampire lady flirting with her oblivious husband so she hid behind a pillar, patiently waiting for her husband to go in his way before she attacked her prey.
