The Silver-Eyed Queen (Under Construction)

Chapter Three

"Auntie what's bothering you?" She asked Lucia, the golden-eyed  vampire woman, whom had taken care of her since she was brought in the palace.

"Time just fly too fast," Lucia tucked a stray of dark hair behind her ear as she smile at her ward, eyes shinning with unshed tears.

It seems like yesterday since the day that Zach, her nephew, came home with an adorable minute-old infant tucked comfortably in his arms. Lucia had been lucky dahil sya ang napili na mangalaga at magpalaki sa susunod na reyna ng palasyo pagkatapos mawalan ito ng reyna nang mamatay ang kanyang kapatid na ina ni Zach.

"Auntie you look crestfallen." Tatiana pointed out and sighed as she turn to face her. "Ikakasal lang ako auntie, hindi mamamatay. Araw-araw nyo pa rin akong makikita sa palasyo."

Lucia shook her head and picked the hairbrush from the dresser and proceeded to brush her charge's dark locks that almost touch the floor, she insisted at first to cut it out but Tatiana refused to do so, to divert her attention.

"Aren't you nervous? Most brides tends to be jittery before their bonding(1) ceremony." Lucia asked while looking straight at the liquid silver orbs on the mirror in the dresser.

"Nope." Tatiana said popping the 'p', "Why would I? Ikakasal ako sa hari at bibihira lang ang nabibigyan ng ganitong pagkakataon."

"You made it seem like you were planning something," Lucia teased.

"Of course not! I love Zach, he's wonderful and gentle and sweet. Oh he's perfect and I wouldn't want some harpy to replace my spot being his sole subject of affection." She said dreamily and a frown marred her beautiful face at the last bit.

"Hopelessly in love, you are." Tatiana was about to retort when one of the royal guards knocked.

"Yes?" Si Lucia ang sumagot sa pinto.

"It's time your majesty," both of them nodded their heads.

Lucia dressed the soon-to-be queen in an off-shoulder pristine white dress that pools down at Titiana's bare feet like water. Then she clasped the silver necklace with teardrop-like ruby that goes with a pair of earings of the same gem.

"You look wonderful Tatiana. I bet matutulala ang mga bampira sa ganda mo lalo na ang pamangkin ko." Lucia said this while putting wild flowers on her charge's hair.

Tatiana slipped into a crystal two-inched heeled shoes, "I'm ready auntie."

Lucia offered her hand and apparated them both in the clearing that resembles a fairy glade. Everyone in the assembly turned at the sound of apparition and immediately gaped at the ethereal being in front of their eyes.

There stood a lithe lady, dark hair that barely reaches the ground gleamed fiery red when it was caught by the sun's rays, silver eyes sparkling with mirth and their eyes widened when the ethereal beauty looked up at them and gave a delicate laugh, plump cherry lips pulled upwards and her voice is an angel's music.

Tatiana began walking towards the center of the clearing where the head of the court stood with the dashing king in his royal garb. She took one delicate step after the other, clearly knowing that vampires around her can clearly get a whiff of her divine scent.

When she reached the center, Zach took her hand into his before leaning to kiss her palm in which she purposely blushed, acting demure in front of her future sovereign.

"We are all gathered here to witness the bonding of our king Zachary Zyrone Wright of the Vampire Clan and the coronation of our queen Tatiana Felicity Suarez beloved of the king," The head of the court started before gesturing to the other members of the court.

Someone gave the king a ritual dagger and a chalice to which Zach picked and sliced his palm, letting the blood pour into the chalice.

"Our future queen, Tatiana Fecility, would you accept the king's blood as a sign of your acceptance to the whole kingdom?"

"I do." She nodded and the head of the court gestured the chalice in which she took and brought to her lips, her eyes fluttered close when she tasted the coppery taste of the liquid as it flowed down her throat. When she was done a court member took the chalice from her.

The head of the court turned to the king, "Our king Zachary Zyrone it is time to mark your beloved as a sign of your claim to the future mother of the kingdom."

Zach turned her to face him, his eyes burning into hers asking for permission and she gave him an encouraging smile then she felt him snaked his arms into her delicate waist pulling her to his body before leaning forward. Zach gave the part where her neck meets her shoulder a tender kiss before sinking his elongated fangs in the area.

Tatiana gasped at the searing pain, hands clasped tightly at the front of Zach's garb and as soon as it came it vanished leaving her lightheaded.

The head of the court smiled at the pair before gesturing for Tatiana to kneel.

"Now, the crowning of the queen." He said and gestured to the other court member who holds a red pillow with a crown encrusted with big blood-coloured rubies on top.

"Do you, Tatiana Felicity Wright née Suarez, accept the crown and all the responsibilities that comes along with it?"

"I do."

"Do you promise to hold your title with dignity?"

"I do."

"Do you promise to provide heirs for the kingdom?"

"I do."

The head of the court holds the crown in front of the people before gently placed it on top of her head and it fits perfectly on her.

"Rise your majesty."

Zach helped her to stand on her feet before they faced the vampires in attendance.

"People of the Vampire clan I now present to you, the new Queen and mother of our kingdom, Queen Tatiana!" His voiced boomed in the place and it is followed by thunder-like applause from the crowd.
