"How did you and Ma' meet, Pa'?"
Dallon listens eagerly, clutching on to the woodenly carved bear in his hands, as he watches Weston pestering their Dad for an answer while he was carving on what seems to be a Lion figure on a chuck of wood. He's quite curious himself to hear the story.
Their father chuckles, as he places down his tools at his work desk. His Dad beckons him closer to where Weston is currently sitting on the floor, expecting for an answer. He approached them, then his Dad lifts him up, and has him sit his lap.
Dallon is sort of curious, half clueless at Weston's excitement. He turns silently to his Dad in question, but he just answers with an affectionate laugh.
"I met your Ma' during a heavy storm."
Dallon unconsciously sucks on his thumb, hugging his wooden bear closer at hearing the word storm. His little mind can conjure the idea of strong winds and heavy rain that destroys houses. It scares him a bit.
"Scawy." Dallon mumbles with a mouthful of his little thumb around his lips. He edges himself closer to the safe warmth of his father's solid figure.
His father coos at him, wrapping an arm around his small shoulders.
"It's not that scary, little bear." His father soothes gently, a warm smile gracing his lips as he continues the story.
